    So, the question is, what is your favorite version of the song Hallelujah. There's so fucking many to choose from and i decided to make this thread after listening to like 7 different ones in a row. It's hard to pick between Cohen and Buckley's famous cover for me since to me they both represent different moods of the song, but I think I like Buckley's more. As for more piano versions, John Cale's and then Rufus Wainright(sp?) who's cover is almost like Cale's gets mentioned, but really I think down that route Bon Jovi's is the best. *insert Bon Jovi joke* But no really it's pretty damn good

    Cohen's definately. I've only heard two others but they were awful. The singers tried too hard.

    oh, well. im a traditionalist. i sang hallelujah chorus in school (Handel). despite being pagan i still have a soft spot for church music.

    but i like the shrek one too, i have no preference.
