not sure if this belongs here or what......

my fiancee has horrible breath I mean horrific. He has tried and done everything to make it better but nothing helps. He brushes his teeth 2 times a day, he chew orbit/ trident gum. I dont know what else to do his breath is so horrible tha tif i am 3 ft away i can smell it.
He told me that his bad breathe is from his eating habits Im not sure if that is true or not. but if it is i guees he needs to eat healthier. Cuz we already eat healthy some junk food here. Any thoughts on how to get rid of horrific breath would help alot.

The robot that lives in my brain reported that sever bad breath can be caused by too much stomach acid. not that tums are the cure, but reducing acid by eating more greens may help. Additionaly some prople have actual glandular issues that give them franken breath. but a change in diet may equal more options.

oh and a note on the gum/mints. Germs love sugar. there is sugar in gum. Germs make smells when they fart and poo. there fore less sugar may equal better breath.

^that's true about sugar and germs and breath.

Other things he might think about (I used to work for a dentist):

Does he floss AND brush his tongue EVERY day?
Taking a supliment of fish oil is supposed to be helpful.
    Does he have any cavities?
Stomach acid can be a factor
He should carry a travel bottle of listerine in his bag/briefcase/whatever and should try to rinse after any time he eats or finishes a drink.
Coffee lends to terrible breath too, does he drink a lot of it?

Hope at least some of that was helpful to both of you. ;)

Try a tongue scraper. Most bacteria in the mouth are found on the tongue, and if you use a tongue scaper (they sell them near the toothbrushes in most stores) it gets rid of any remaining ones. Also, what mouthwash does he use (if any)? If he uses Scope, it probably won't do anything--there is no antiseptic in Scope, only in Listerine (and other brands--check before you buy to make sure it kills germs).
