hair prior to dreads

what type of hair did you guys/girls have before dreads?

since i'm in the process of going natural, i still have thick straight hair

 

i had really thin straight hair.

 

i had very curly hair. that matted super easily

 

Thin straight hair, although it had a bit of a wave every 8 inches or so.

 

this is me a yr ago...

 

i had nappy african hair but im white idk how it happened but im very glad it did!

 

i had curly long hair down to my shoulders

 

this was like a week or a few days before i started letting my hair dread....luv my dreads but miss this too

 

I don't have much pictures.. but straight with some waves.. this is an old one.. when I was 16 orso..

I barely ever wore it down because it was just a frizzy mess.

Comparison, this was a few months ago, probably about 8 months in

 

My hair is very thick, and straight under 3.5 inches, but then goes wavy intense and all crazy.

I briefly dyed my hair dark, and although it was permanent, it faded rapidly.

 

My hair is naturally very straight and fine.
