Today I had to have my 11 year old sheltie put to sleep. She had lymphoma. Her glands were swollen and she could barely eat and breath. She was also very week and had trouble walking. Its so sad not having her here
Sounds like a geat loss to you so at the very least you can recall the good and funny times you shared......
I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose one of our furpeople. :bigcry: At least it is for me. Know that you gave her a good life. She will always be a part of you. :grouphug:
Sorry to hear that... It's hard losing a close friend. They become so much a part of your life while they are here.
My last "best friend" has lived in my heart since 2003 -- he still comes whenever I call and sometimes when I haven't -- I'm always glad to see him. ' So sorry for your loss. http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/wheretob.htm
So sad. I had two dogs when I was a little kid, my parents had to put them to sleep. It hurt, but I think I was too young to feel the full pain. I empathize. I have three dogs now, I love them so much. Those little rascals are your pals, just try to remember the good times. If you have the means, get a new puppy, that would probably help ease the pain.
I feel your pain. I just put down a pet of mine last Thursday. Cheer to the creatures that give us such love and joy.
I had to do that too recently and I can't think about it for too long without crying it's been a couple of months and I was just crying two days ago about it. Thank god I was able to find a place to be alone I wouldn't be able to handle anyone seeing me express emotion
