A huge haboob or dust storm hit burning man with fierce winds driving sand on everything.

Most tents were blown away or damaged. Many art installations had just been setup were wiped out. Sound stages for music were damaged as was equipment.

Visibility was near zero and there wasn't much shelter left standing. Kitchens were covered in sand.

They had to close the entrance because conditions were so poor. People waited in cars 6 to 8 hours to get in during the storm.

Then came the rains creating inches of sticky mud! And they pay big money for this experience.

    Here, watch the video...

Burning Man is proof of the American axiom, "There's A Sucker Born Every Minute!" Build it, and they will come to you. Perhaps, Donald Duck will send them FEMA help.

That’s a shame, Burning man can’t catch a break. Seems they pissed of Mother Nature, this has happened numerous times.

When you call yourself artists, and become infamous for trashing out the environment, mama nature provides private tutorials. Bite Me!

Elon Musk is supposed to attend the event. Now imagine burning man on Mars! The dust storms there make a haboob look like a tempest in a teapot.

Musk is originally from Mars, and likes to pretend he's an artist, and the God of War! Whatever helps to rake in the money. Even he knows Mars is way too close to earth, and low gravity starts to make you go blind, fall apart, and die slowly, within three years tops.

Already, an ex-Nasa engineer claims he's got 1g acceleration using an inertial drive with no propellent, and one lab has claimed they've found the first evidence of a material that exhibits anti-gravity. Of course, I take such claims with a large dose of salt, but everything is changing faster than anyone can keep up with, and artificial gravity is possibly next.

Then they can all live in the clouds, and slum it when they visit Burning Man, playing Buck Rodgers!

I saw the same thing at the Rainbow, with people riding around on uniwheels. Very likely, antigravity might provide the first substitute for parachutes, that simply slows your descent, and makes it all but impossible to land hard. Of course, it means drones will fill the skies and orbit.

Used to live in AZ. Those haboob storms are crazy. Glad I wasn't actually outside in one! I don't miss the dust storm insanity, but I love AZ as a state
