I understand that height/weight proportion is usually calculated with BMI. I also understand that h/w proportion is based on gender.
So who owns the scale that you are supposed to look at so that you know whether or not you have reached your h/w proporation goal?

TBH when I started to develop muscle in my case my Abs and pecs ,BMI wasnt a good guide as muscle is much heavier than fat . I tend to go off how I look and to be critical about it in a mirror. BMI measurement has been a bane of those building muscle for some time.

Its okay as a guide for the average person or those overweight and want to lose it.

I used it when I was obese around 9 years ago to monitor my progress and is useful for that .Our NHS use it as a guide to indicate how much unhealthy a person is.
