Good show I tell you, good show. They were showing it on TV Land for about 5 months on the late night with Sid & Marty special, every friday night. I watched it every freaking friday, until they cancelled it:$ ...if any of you have seen it wat do you think about it?

I never saw the movie but loved the tv show as a kid it was on sat mornings I think. I bought out a comic store going out of buisness a few years ago and the only thing I kept for myself was the Ghostrider stuff and one h.r. puffinstuff comic.

What are your thoughts on Jimmie's magic flute?? Hahaha, I used to think Jack Wild(jimmie) was a girl until I saw him. The flute is genious, I wish I had one...

Pufnstuf always reminded me of the Wizard of Oz. There was the witch in both, and the flute was much like Dorothy's slippers.

There was another show about the same time H.R. was on broadcast TV. It was "Lidsville". (I think that was the name.) About a town full of half people half HAT.
It had Charles Nelson Riley as a Evil Wizard. That was freaky!

I saw the show, but I thought of it as a bad acid trip most of the time.

No! You've got to say Freddy's name with a hardcore cockney accent!

Witchpoo: Castle, castle on the moat-who's the loviest witch afloat?

Castle: Noooottttt youuuuuuu, you old goat!

I love it! H.R. Pufnstuf was my show when I was a kid. And Witchpoo! Wasn't she the living end??

Just so you know, the entire show is out on DVD. Several of those old Sid/Marty shows are on DVD for the young/old nostalgics like myself.

I still say it was all a take-off on Wizard of Oz. :) Didn't they have talking trees in Pufnstuf too like Oz? Or maybe I was just on an acid trip and dreamed it up.

There was another show by Sid and Marty Croft about a boy who found this little green monster and tried to hide it from everyone. It looked like seaweed. Don't remember the name of that one. I wonder what type of weed Sid and Marty were smoking. :)
