...a good female friend (or your daughter, mother, or wife) being made to feel like she has to dress and act more sexually than she wants to to advance in society?...

The same thing repeated over and over and over. If you accept this and allow people to make you feel that way, that's your problem. In the end, we're all responsible for our own mental states. It's easier to blame someone else, usually society, than it is to face up and admit we're the ones at fault.

Is this to do with the similar thread you made in the women's forum? In my life experiance i haven't known of any female friends or family having to dress sexy in order to advance except for strippers (friends, and im not having a go). Having said that, it doesn't bother me if they use sex appeal to get ahead.

It would bother me however, if women were required to use sex appeal to do well. That is, if women weren't given the opportunity to use their brain or skills to advance and could only do well based upon sex appeal. That would be a problem.

I am not a Muslim, do you think women in western society (or America specifically) are required to use sex appeal to get ahead in society?

There are plenty of women who probably do, but I don't know any of them.

I take pride however it not knowing many air head bimbos. No one is made to do anything, either do it or don't.

Well, it is very hard, anyway...to be a woman and social climb without manipulation and objectification of self.

Sure, they may choose not to do it, but even bartending is hard if you're a woman who's unwilling to use their looks. Not every woman has the will-power (or, money) for 5 years of medical school and end up being a pharmacist at Rite Aid in a white robe behind the counter for the rest of their anti-septic lives.

Of course, if all of us were as smart (not to mention well-raised) as David Rockefeller, the world would have approximately 8 billion billionaires and no one would have to clean a toilet bowl ever ever ever.

Free will -- it's not bullshit. Society can't force you to do anything; people just succumb to societal pressure, which is their fault.

Well, I respect your entitlement to viewpoint, but as men we have responsibilities to the women in our lives. You mean you think it's OK for some turd to try to make the women in your life get sexual when they don't want to:(...

Uh lolol, I don't know sir/ma'am what it's like to be a woman in American society or any other society lolol.

I do know that nothing is funny about trying to make women be more sexual than they want to, WHEREVER in the universe that that happens. That actually makes me pretty g*****n mad, thinking about the women that I care about, you know:mad::mad::mad:.

We should try to get dudes that do that to chill with that crap...lol:mad:

Definitely not cool... (not trying to make anybody feel bad. The idea of it just irritates me when I think about my women friends.)
