Guys and the bar...

I just don't understand... there are so many creepy guys, or guys who hit on you in a really unappealing way (a few nice exceptions, but still)

Tonight I went out with four girl friends. This one guy, I ended up having to yell at him for a good three full minutes (not exaggerating) before he left, and I still don't think he understood what he was doing that was not acceptable... my friend would move around in our circle of friends whenever he'd approach and he'd follow, she'd move again and he'd follow again. She didn't make eye contact, shook her head, hell even pushed him away once (but never in a mean way). I ended up telling him to fuck off, no, no, buhbye, leave now before I call the bounces, bye, no, bye before he fucking got the idea.

I also had at least three different guys come up from behind me and try to grind with me. Sorry, but I haven't seen your face let alone learnt your name, I don't want to feel your crotch against my ass. What the hell?

Am I just crazy and this is completely normal and acceptable for most people, or what? Do I have to get a freakin tshirt that says "lesbian" (nothing wrong with lesbians either btw)just so the guys won't hit on my constantly (I'm not that hot nor that thin, there were certainly waaaaay hotter girls everywhere. Not that I'm hideous, but more attractive, more provocatively dressed and dancing far more sexually than me)

Agh, me ranting yeah, but if anyone has a rational explanation other than "they're drunk and horny", it'd be nice.

One time I was sitting at the bar somewhere in Nashville, and this weird older guy on the other end looked at me and winked, and then made the boob squeezing gesture with his hands... it was gross as shit.

that is the reason i hate alot of clubs..i tend to go to places where people dont do that..more underground kinda places where the guys are there to appreciate the music, not make out with ya bum without your consent..actually on friday night i had some guy come up to me and do that- and he was with his girlfriend...i just tell them to fuckoff or tell them they're charming..and it only happened cos i was in one of those shitty clubs with shitty guys with shitty personalities

 

Usually at bars people are drunk. Alchohol usually doesn't bring out the best in people. Ive never started a meaningful relationship from anyone Ive met at a bar. That my opinion though.

I think guys just want to be smooth and they try too hard to be smooth. And plenty think girls are playing "hard to get" rather than "help me god please get away".

Hey now! Its not just the guys who harrass! One time I was at a real crowded show and dancing in the pit. I spun around and something grabbed my neck and jerked me out of the pit. This girl just like attacked me with her tounge. Before I knew what was happening she had pulled us over to a wall and was making my hands go everywhere under her skirt. Then other stuff happened and I went to the couch to lay down... I was so violated...
For serious though, I don't dig the nightclub scene as much as the underground one. At the underground I can just dance without worry about feeling self concious (My mutant form of skank is embarassing =D) and I don't have to worry about sounding stupid if I talk to a girl, cause like clockwork said, they are there for music first, screw second if not third or fourth. That and I like it better cause you can fight and stage dive =D

Yeah, guys can be real assholes sometimes. But i think the main problem is the type of club you were at. Not all guys are assholes, not even all drunk guys are assholes. But there are some types of clubs where this behavior goes on, and both the guys and girls are there to be sluts. I stay away from anything like frat bars or dance clubs because i hate that kind of meat market atmosphere. Go to places that feature good live music, or find some nice artsy or hippyish bar or coffee house and you won't get this kind of crap.

 

go to a place where everyone is drunk and you will find people acting like idiots.


I too have been attacked by females at bars..mosly when I was young and too drunk to move away.


Its a myth that all guys will willingly accept a random females advances, despite what many women think.
