Guy looked up kiddie porn on my comp.

Ok, so i looked at the history on my internet browser today, while we were gone, the guy that we have been "sponsering" looked up kiddie porn on google, and visited several sites. What do i do?

I am kicking him out, but i dont want to get in trouble for this shit.

 

That sux...... not exactly sure other than a hard drive replacement.

Ya might do a web/ Znet search for total web surfing track removal.


If you're running a widoze version that has a
'system restore' routine (or third party app)
disable it before you start cleaning...

Best guess is to clear History/ Cookies then run Adaware removing all threats/ tracking items - especially the 'negligible' items.

create a guest account that buddies can use, better than nothing at least

adaware, avg, spybot and adware are things to look into

considering reporting him? at least it won't be you who gets in trouble for the pics, but..

 

The only way to completely remove all trace's you (your pc) was ever there would be to either find a program that completely deletes everything on your h/d (just formatting doesn’t do this) or to destroy it e.g. run a pretty strong magnet over it for a while, smash it up etc.



A good thing you could do would be to report the websites and the man in question to the authorities, or at least to google (the websites not the man lol, I have don this myself on several occasions).

 

I talked to a cop buddy of mine earlier, he said not to worry about repercussion, that the fbi is after distributers and producers, not so much people who surf around on sites and google search, but at least i made mention to the authorities.

Working on how to ask him to leave, will update later.

 

Some folks are doing some HEAVY time for that shit---cover your ass dude.However.Make a note about what happened,take a picture of the note with you and especially the front page of a newspaper with the date plainly visible.Maybe that would be a defence in case "they" have the ability to find out about it.And name the fucker(who plainly had no respect for you and your family)on the note.Just a suggestion.

I gave the cops his information, the ran a search, nothing showed. It is documented with the local police, so i am not to worried for myself.

 

i dislike cops. i wouldnt trust them to watch my two least favorite gold fish.

As you can probably guess I’m not to sympathetic either, even if they themselves were abused in early life they are still more than able to distinguish rite from wrong.

i know what you mean, i am the same way. "ask to leave" came across wrong. I went to the police with it, to no avail really, so i tried the official route. And my constant thought is that my hospitility is sacred, and it has been abused. It is still surreal though, running it through my head, but i got high to end a weird day.

That IS true, but still... you should download and install "crap cleaner" it removes all cookies, offline and online content, adware, spyware, and all index.dat files which would normally stay on your computer...

Thanks everybody. He is gone, i told him straight up what and why he has to leave, and he took it fairly well. I told him that fortunatly i have been trying to approach life with less violence. But had he done something to my children, which he didnt, then he would have been in a shallow grave somewhere, with no one the wiser.

 

I think it's a funny world we live in where people can be put in jail just for looking at something!

How does looking at something hurt anyone?

Some people enjoy watching footage of car crashes... should they be sentenced for murder?

If you can prove that you were not the one who looked it up, call the cops.
1) You get a pervert out of circulation.
2) You cover your arse about potential problems with the law.

I would consult a lawer before doing this. The cops are so rabid about kiddie porn that burning the computer and running it through a mulcher may be your only safe option.

 

Mike, i talked to the cops, have a good friend who is a cop, he was pretty "give a damn" about the porn, he just suggested i clear it up and get rid of the guy.
