I was bored last night, and we had a huge ball of string. I don't know where it came from, but I was determined to put it to good use. So i decided i'd make a guitar strap out of it. It's not a very good one. It is basically a glorified rope, and it's uncomfortable, although it does the job. I think it looks pretty cool.

I'm not very crafty, so stuck to using easy methods. I cut three lengths of string, tied them together, and left a lot of overhang on one piece of string so I could make a loop knot so it would go round the strap button. I simply plaited the string until I reached my desired length and tied the three bits of string together again, cut on piece off, so I had two pieces of string to go round the neck.

Voila, a cheap guitar strap. It's also non-leather, which is a plus, because I'm a veggie, and getting leather-free guiatr straps is a challenge. I managed to get one, at a guitar shop, but I couldn't find it last night, so I made this makeshift one. i may just make myself a new guitar strap soon, except try making it a bit more complicated.

Very good... Idea... make several more of them the same length and attach them all.. it would look cool and it would also make it more comfortable... the weight of the guitar would be spread over multipul strands as appose to one... Just a thought! :) .. But very nice indeed
