i can tell when playing, and probably by the color too... if its a girlish color, then its a girl. if its black or something of the sort, then its a man... thats how i do it, anyways.
Name it Sue, then you can tell people and they have to guess. Sue as in the Jonny Cash song. Otherwise I think their all chicks.
I don't think I could ever take a floyd rose... They're just kind of nerve-bending when it comes down to string changes. I prefer bigsby or wilkinsons.
It's tricky... but you know when you first pick it up pretty much. When I bought my fireglo Rickenbacker bass, I knew right away she was a bold, sassy redheaded chick, which suited me just fine!! It also depends on the shape of the instrument. My bass is pretty thin and very curvy... the colours are also pretty feminine. As for a name, I'm still stumped and I've had her for 2 years.
i like to think my guitar is named eleanor. no particular reason, but once that name got scrapped for my penis, that's where it went.
my guitar's a floyd rose. I guess it's male. seriously, though, I think my guitars are genderless, although they are unique indeviduals.
im curious if guitar genitalia are compatible with human genitalia, cuz my guitar has been giving me this look for some time now, and im pretty sure its female how can i tell for sure?
I can usually tell by gently rubbing the guitar and depending on the way that it feels i can tell, Its kind of the same thing i do when i meet a new person.
I name them depending on the TONE it puts out. (Acoustic Only) If it's "Soft 'n' Sweet, its Female. Bold & Brassy, Male.
lol u guys are a crack up when i buy my gibson studio black and marry it to my marshall, and funky monkey pedal that guitar will become... DIRTY SALLY i dont care if im a chick, u can feel the sexiness
I recently found out that my guitar was ashamed of its gender and under went a sex changed. It failed horrible and now has no sex it all. Understandably I named it Pat.
