What are some of your musical guilty pleasures? Artists, songs, genres that you hesitate before admitting that you love it as much as you really do. C'mon now fess up, I know you people have them! I have just too many, I can't even think of where to begin.
There's no music I won't admit to liking. Some people might not think of me as a techno person when they see me though.
Well... I'm not ashamed to admit it, even though I'm sure you all think I should be, but anyway... So here it goes: I like Ricky Martin. Hehe. That's right. I'm not talking about his pop songs, like Maria, or anything like that. I like his Spanish songs, and especially his album Almas del silencio is really good. What can I say... I really really really like Latin music. Not that Ricky Martin's music is the best example, as it's not very typical Latin music... it's just umm... latin pop, I guess Ahh well...
can't go past the cheesy music types a la "Sound of Music" and I love disco too, I should have been a 60s/70s baby
What, donovan rules....such cheap songs, and sucha Dylan rip off, but awesome... I have to admit i relly like Ravi Shankar, his daughter Norah aint bad either....
Sophie Ellis Bextor... But i just really like her voice, which gets me past the (mostly) cheezy pop music going on underneath. And i kinda don't mind Busted, not saying i necessarily like them, just don't hate them like I know I should!
TheStoon just reminded me that every now and then there's a hit-song on the radio that I would love to hate but simply can't resist liking.. a few examples: Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis Bextor Trick Me - Kelis Hide You - Kosheen Sound Of The Underground - Girls Alloud All The Things She Said - Tatu
You have to remember that i come from a small city where the local music scene (which sucks by the way), is all punk, and not good punk, just yelling at you punk, and just about everyone wants to be black or from the hood or something, or is a total redneck.....
Well, people who actually know about music know that Ravi Shankar is in fact talented. Now, if you would have said that you liked the terrible, modern punk scene, then that would be something to be embarassed about. Be proud that you know what good music is.
