Hi my name is Anthony, me and a few friends of mine are going to be going to amsterdam on 4-19-05, will be there on the 19 and plan on staying till the 26 of April. We got every thing ready holtel, passport's and plane tickit, were just waiting till the 18 to get here so we can get on are plane. we are a cuple of stoners, so were asking for a guide that knows there smoke and which are the best coffie shop's, clubs, and bar's to go. Hey... you're from Phoenix? Cool.. I've been corresponding with a guy who grew up in South Phoenix.. is that area really that bad with gangs and all? I have no idea what I'll be doing around the time you visit Amsterdam (study or work) and I'm not too familiar with weed, but I know my way 'round Amsterdam pretty well so.. maybe we can hook up for a chat, would be nice
that would be cool, and no the south side is not that bad, mabe back in the days, like way back. now its a lot better, there are a lot more houses going up and a lot more store's so people dont have to go on missions to get stuff, but its not as bad as every one says it is. if we do meet up i'll bring pics of how ganster south phx. is ha! ha!

is it eazy to get lost and is the boat rides worth it? where do you go to school at? how long have you been liveing in A'dam?
what are dikes? what happens if you put your finger in a dike? what is drop and why do they say only Hollanders can eat it?
eh.. eh.. ok 1. The centre of Amsterdam is pretty small so you wont get lost very easily 2. I attend University in my hometown, Nijmegen (at the east of the netherlands) but I'm in Amsterdam a lot due to friends and work (it's 1,5 hour by train from my hometown). 3. dikes are earthwalls that keep the water out (don't confuse it with dykes.. the female loving thingie.. hehe). 4. If you put your finger in a dyke/dike it'll get wet and dirty 5. Drop is a candy, like lacrise? It's black and can be soft or hard and sweet or salty 6. It pretty typical Dutch and not a lot of foreigners like it
My wife and I will be there during the same time. We are still looking at hotels. Any suggestions? Since we will be there for a week, we are looking for a suite or a cottage/apartment for a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Also, we are big fans of Blues music. We have been looking at the clubs, and find several mentions of Jazz, but no Blues. Are there any Blues clubs there?
