i was wondering how well growing plants in 5 or 10 gallon pots would be, because there is alot of limestone in teh area and once digging past 10 inches its almost impossible to find areas with out rocks. This would also be conveniant because we would be able to move the plant around when needed to get more or less sunlight and hide from other robbers and such. how much more water would be needed to do this? and will it work well
Lots of outdoor growers use big pots out of neccesity, for one reason or another. Just be aware that potted plants need almost constant attention - that means lots of watering and lots of exposure for you.
Those monster pots would work pretty well. Be sure to add vermiculite for water retention (should give you a little more leway in figuring out the watering schedule). Keep in mind what my man said about attention and exposure.
