Grunge bands

I've been listening to Nirvan a lot lately. I guess because I relate to Kurt and his lyrics. I'd like to get into some more grunge bands. Please make a list. I'd appreciate it.

 

mud honey,screaming trees,smashing pumpkins, temple of the dog, pearl jam,

 

iron maiden, slip knot, korn,...don't know many.u might relate to oter stuff that isn't grunge like muse, i do. i live 4 them

 

You don't know any grunge bands then.

Alice in chains and Soundgarden are the only grunge type bands I listen to.

 

Because Iron Maiden is one of the greatest bands ever, and both slipknot and korn are angsty nu-metal.

 

AIC, pearl jam and soundgarden are my favourite grunge bands

 

Aye, add Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins to that and you have my list.

Janes Addiction (im sure you already know them though)
CandleBox ------> not a huge fan of this band but their first album (i think it was their first) is pretty good.

 

smashing pumpkins is a personal favorite of mine.

 

Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam are my fav.
what exactly qualifies you as a grunge band?

 

Better than Ezra, Collective Soul, Sarah McLaughlin, Smashing Pumpkins, Presidiendents of the Unitied States of America, Ween, Beck, Butthole Surfers, Jane's Addicition, Peal Jam, Temple of the Dog (Eddie Vedder w/ Chris Cornell and friends) Alanis Morisette, Mazy Star, Blue Oyster Cult, Nuisance, Candlebox, Screaming Trees, Blues Traveler, Foo Fighters (yeah... they caught the last wave of grungeness before the teenie pop sensation kicked in) Jil Sobule, Cake, Live, Our Lady of Peace, The Offspring, The Blurr, and several others fall into the glorious grunge days.... that's the closest recent period in time that i felt like i belong to... i can wait for it to re-emmerge one day!
