Right now my plant is 14 days old. It is 5 3/4 in tall. when should I start the 12/12 light cycle. This is my first time growing and i dont want to mess things up can anyone help?
depends on the type your growing (indica or sativa) you can tell if plant is tall and has thin leaves its sativa and if short with fatter leaves its indica. usually 4-6 weeks of vegetitive growth with indica 5-8 weeks with sativa these are for the best results remember when you change lights to flower stage the plant can double in size so flower depending on the space youve got.
I Think that my plants are indica. My plants are very tall and the leaves are very thin. All the light that i have on my plants is 1. 65 watt grow light and a sylavina 75 watt light bulb. do you think that this will be enough? Right now all my plants are doing great. I up graded my grow closet. It is alot bigger, but my biggest question is about the lights.

Wait until the plant is sexually mature, which is indicated by alternating nodes (branches). This generally occurs at 4--6 weeks.
Right now my plant is 20 days old. it is on its 5th set of leaves it is 10 in. tall. My plants are growing with sets of 3 leaves. Are these the ones that I want or do I want ones with 5 leaves?
Height doesn't matter. # of leaf blades doesn't matter. Sexual maturity matters. A sexually mature plant will produce 3 x more bud than a plant of equal height that isn't.
When are you going to read a grow guide? I'll give you this freebie: You induce flowering (set the light cycle to 12/12) when the plants are sexually mature. Within the first 2 weeks males will express sex by growing "balls" (pollen sacs). Get rid of these plants immediently. After the 3rd week buds will begin to form on the female plants.
THE TWO LEAVES ON THE BOTTOM OF MY PLANT (the first 2) are turning yellow and dieing. Should i be worried about his or is this something that happens on its own?
