I figured this might be the best place to post about it. I'm growing my hair out and am wondering what style I should pursue. I've considered putting it in a ponytail but it's still got a few more inches before that can happen. Any thoughts?

You talk about your hair like it's something special. Just leave the shit alone and let it grow....putting it in a ponytail will not make it grow any faster.

Just pull the top part of it back in a barette, and then it will be long enough to ponytail before you know it! I tie scarves around my hair as well sometimes- the growing out process can be a big pain!

you might be supprised how much of a body mod this may be. theres not pain (duh), but it really will change how people perceive you. i've been growing my hair for about 4 years now. i get it trimmed regularly to keep it looking nice. its about mid back. the only times i wear it back is when i need it out of my face, or off of my back. during the 'growing out' phase, it will be uncomfortable, ugly and weird. especially when it gets to be around cheek length. i recomend you just let it go. if you have curly hair, dont comb it, it just makes it poofy. wear it back and try it. if you like it, then keep doing it. but it will look stupid until there is a decent amount of length. it looks goofy when people have little tiny ponytails. best of luck bro! and stick with it, it will get real annoying. but in the end, its totally worth it.

Yeah, I'm doing that too. I've tied it in a ponytail a few times, but I don't like to. It's pretty much long enough to do that. But I'll probably end up with pretty wild hair then, since my hair is very thick and kind of curly...

though i don't want to do that
even though i can't see shit
and when i can (it's a rarity) i lose my peripheral vision

im growing mine out too. Let it get as messy and gross as possible, so it sticks out in every direction

I'd say just leave it free... I've had really long hair most of my life, and I rarely put it into any sort of style. It's only messy to deal with with the wind and all here.

Lol...whoops! You're a guy, how stupid am I. You may want to skip the barrette! You could still look hot in a scarf, tho. :)
