So I've collected some seeds over the year of just buying and have thought about just throwing them into a pot with soil and hopping it grows. obviously chances of success are low seeing as ive been browsing this forum for a while and seen a lot of things required for growing. Sooooo... I was wondering what is the easiest cheapest way to "attempt" to grow? please no abbreviations i don't know what any of that shit is
wait till spring... Outdoor is going to be the superpremo way for you.. No money.. Low maintence.. Go out and find you a patch and germinate your seeds indoors then the ones the bust plant in your patch!!! Nature prevides all you need.. Light water air everything.. Check on a few times a week and water if it dosnt rain.. I have 50+ seeds I'm going to do that come spring... And you might want to check out bad fish's outdoor grow! Very informative! Good luck bro
splitters $1.99, 25w/100eqv clf bulbs.. all they really need for vegetative cycle.. many splitters... add more as you grow.. really nuffing to it,, but TLC.. which then leads to THC...
That's exactly what I did. I had a bunch of seeds saved for no real reason, so one day I just decided to plant them in a couple pots and at a couple secluded spots outdoors. Keep in mind what I did not, when planting in containers, one plant per pot unless it is a big pot. Use at least 3 gallon pots. My first suggestion, is to do what I did and go buy a grow guide at Barnes and Noble or something, like Jorge Cervantes Grow Bible. Read about the plant's life cycle and needs first, then work your way to the actual equipment and growing mediums used. Next, are you planning on growing indoors, outdoors, or both?
outdoors is good yes, but alot of things have to be considered for outdoor growing..................first and foremost is knowing when your growing season starts and ends and how long that is. Next you have to use a strain that will finish in that time.......really sucks when you put in some effort just to see your strain needing 4+ more weeks and the weather is already turning to shit. The last and actually one of the most important things............location, location, location! You really need a good area to grow these things..........is the soil in your spot good or are you going to have to backfill with your own soil, if so than be prepared for some digging, atleast 1ft x 1ft x 1ft holes for EACH individual plant..............security, are there people hiking or hunting or fishing or sight-seeing or doing any outdoorsy type stuff in the area, if so then you either need to look for another spot or if it's not that heavily traveled just be smart, be quiet and go to tend the plants at night or EARLY in the morning..................pests, animals, diseases, you must be ready for these pain in the asses as they can ruin a whole crop in a matter of days if you don't have the stuff needed to repel them. as far as pests your biggest concerns will probably be spider mites, thrips, leaf hoppers, slugs, caterpillars, grasshoppers, and probably a few others im not thinking of. There are tons of recipes on the net for homemade organic pest sprays or you can just go out and buy some from a store. As for animals, well you should be watching for deer mainly......they for some reason absolutely love munching on some MJ. There are other animals that like to eat/destroy MJ but deer are probably your biggest worry. As for disease, your biggest worry is going to be powdery mildew or botrytis.........you just have to watch close and if you see any outbreak either correct it or take the effected bud/buds off the plant to prevent spreading..........mold can take off VERY quick if unnoticed. anyhoser, this was more a brief response to Peaceisfreedom.............if you want to grow cheap with a high chance of success use fluoro's indoors as orison suggested. :sifone: :cheers2: - 42o - EDIT:: Also to other BIG things to think about when choosing a spot is how much are you going to have to haul in water or is there a close by water source you can collect from.............also a BIG BIG part of location is how much direct light per day does the spot get and how much direct light per day will it get as the season progresses and the path of the sun changes.........there are even more things to think about when going outdoors but i think you get the idea.
