I'm looking for funk and soul music. Sometimes, I've seen it even classified as Motown, though I seem to disagree, some motown tunes sound pretty good! Anyways, if you know of any good funk music, post it here! I'll give a few I've come across to start off the show. These are three albums that are impeccable! I could listen to these all the way through any time of day... more than once and be quite satisfied. Fantastic the whole way through in my opinion, and I hope you agree. I'm looking to expand my mind to be more musically inclined, if you catch my drift. So please, if you know of any other great artists in the genre, please, do add to the list. I'll stop by and add other reccomendations as I come across new tracks, so be sure to stop back by and take a look every now and then. Here are my three favorites. Feel free to tune in. Just found this guy in music related to Menahan Street Band. REALLY diggin it. I'm pretty sure this'll be my new favorite song for a while. http://youtu.be/moiUyFQQE-0
Hey I know that song from somewhere... Ran across Kylie Auldist & The Bamboos stumbling through YouTube one day. Got a pretty nice sound if you ask me. Not exactly grindhouse material tho. Maybe, maybe not... http://youtu.be/wfkyg66uXjM

Somebody been playing GTA5? They picked a lot of great tracks in that game. I'm surprised it's only you and me in this thread. Guess the funk scene just isn't that popular... yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kahp_kmOFzQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxNEiZhpinY ^Not exactly funk, but grindhouse worthy.
The Hollies... also not particularly funk, but grindhouse worthy. "The Air that I Breathe" is so full of sound it almost hurts my ears. Plenty of ambient-esque airyness perfect for an ending outro. The strings in the background remind me of The Moody Blues. Really does something to scramble your brain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXYYpBts5Kc And this song... it's just awesome. I know how to play it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP94PlEtsEQ
And we've come full circle, back to the funk. Or something like that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMH4sbQMZ1Y Close enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z66wVo7uNw
While I'm on some Curtis... might as well post another. This is my last broadcast for today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B6TKClPFQA Love jammin' to some Curtis. Not sure how so much soul can be compressed into one person. The Temptations had some pretty epic tunes too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJV2pWFyfn4 Remind me to post some Aretha Franklin next time.
