How often do you grill food in the summer? The past few days I've been cooking every meal on the grill. I absolutly love it. Summertime can be so great.
we grill year 'round. there's been a couple times we've had 12" of snow on our grill and still turned it on to cook.
dave's beginning to lean towards charcoal grilling now. he's never liked the inconvenience of it, but the flavor can't be beat. we're both from warmer climes, though. he's from new mexico, i'm from southern california. i don't think we'd know how to live without a grill. you can grill freaking everything.
Haha... I had to look that up because I wasn't sure what smokey joe was or looked like but yep... that's it.
I <3 my BBQ! I'm going to try some smoking chips next week to add to the flavour. I could BBQ all year long
when i moved in with my best friend, i was confused and appalled to find out she cooks meat in the oven or on the stove. i still can't figure out how to do that, unless it's baked chicken or a roast. i don't understand how that works.
I went through two weeks of straight grilling just now... then I got a tad tired of the extreme meat consumption... so I've been eating practically completely vegetarian lately. I might go back to grilling in a week though... I bought some marinades in the store a couple of days ago, and I can't wait to try em.
Has anyone tried any of the A1 marinades for steak? I like to make my own marinades, but I'm lazy... so I'm trying out the store ones... The A1 ones look interesting, but I'm not that big of a fan of the dominating A1 taste... are the marinades also that dominating?
i like grilling my veggies in a basket on the grill: squash, onions, peppers, mushroom, then eating them on a salad with a homemade dressing.
if it's beef your eating, you should try a little monterey steak seasoning. it's a perfect blend. but i like my beef with salt, pepper, garlic, lime juice and some sundried tomato paste.
Yeah...that does sound really good. So do the veggies. Now I'm hungry.... not that I wasn't hungry before. Can't wait to eat. :stomachgrowls:
ooh, and i've you've the time, my mom would always get a london broil and marinate if overnight in a vinaigrette. it's not overpowering, but it makes the meat so tender. so far as i can tell, the only thing meat tenderizer is good for is jelly-fish stings.
