Damn, I missed this place. How's everyone been?

Shit's been crazy for me, lately. I've been staying in a homeless shelter in Atlanta for a while. The reason I ended up there is pretty fukt up. I started getting monthly prescriptions of 120mg of xanax every month for my anxiety issues but, as most of you will probably guess, that didn't work out so well. At first, I was taking them with relative moderation, which, for me, was about 10-15mg per day. However, the last 2-3 prescriptions I got, I ended up taking all of them in one or two days, which resulted in lots of bad shit happening. lol

The last prescription I got, I ate all 120mg within a couple of hours. Afterwards, I somehow ended up walking around in the middle of Gainesville, GA and getting into it with cops and whatnot. I don't remember much, but I do remember walking past a cop and holding both of my middle fingers up and telling him "look at this shit, bitch". lol So he cuffed me and threw me on the hood of his car and searched me. I didn't have anything on me, so he let me go.

At some point during that day, I twisted my ankle while I was walking and tore every ligament in my ankle, then I hitched a ride with some random dude and he took me to my mom's house.

Later that day, I was being so wild and out of control that my mom and my aunt decided to take me to the homeless shelter. The only thing I remember after I got there is eating some chicken pot pie with my fingers. haha

A few days later, I walked down the street from the homeless shelter to the Family Dollar and tried to buy some food, but the cashier told me that I wasn't allowed in the store because I had apparently came in the store the night I took all of the xanax and started screaming at her and kicking the door. lol I don't remember that shit at all, but apparently the cops were called and whatnot, so I was lucky I didn't go to jail that day, considering I had two separate run-ins with the police.

Anyway, now I'm staying at my mom's house for a while, on the condition that I enter some sort of rehab program sometime soon.

im relatively new here so you probably dont even remember me, but i remember reading your posts a while back..i also remember reading your stories about how much you love xanax :p

anyways welcome back man! glad to hear your back with your family at least..

stay safe and try to stay away from the xanax.. maybe try to see if you can get on another (less intoxicating) medication if you're still having anxiety problems..

i hope 2010 is a better year for you.. happy new year :)

Thanks, and yes....I definitely need to find something else for my anxiety. Valium, perhaps, because it doesn't fuck me up; it just improves my mood and mellows me out. lol

Either way, I'll still take xanax, from time to time. Just not in a way that would be considered morbidly excessive.

I would go that far, but I definitely need to stay away from massive amounts of xanax. I definitely won't be getting any more prescriptions for xanax, because I just can't control how many of them I take.

Thanks man. It's good to be back, though I'm not sure how long I'll be back. It may be a week or two, or it maybe be a couple of months.

Good to hear from you man. Hope you can get everything sorted out in the new year! Best of luck. Keep your head high and remember everything will work itself out in some way. The night is always darkest before the dawn.

Indeed. My life seems to be an endless cycle of transition. lol What's been going on with you? What makes the new year a transitional period for you?

You're right. I do need to go back to school. It's something I've been contemplating for a long time, but I need to just say "fuck it" and do it. lol

Of course I'm still smoking, when I'm able. I could go back to that job at any time, but the last few times I went there, they didn't put me to work because they didn't have anything for me to do. It was just me and a bunch of other people sitting in a room waiting in vain for them to put us to work.

I'm sure a lot of people don't log on as much as they used to, but I'm glad there are still some HF veterens here. I was afraid I'd come back and there'd be nothing but a bunch of noobs. haha

Thanks man. I'm sure I won't get everything sorted out, because life is always happening, but I'm sure 2010 will be a better year than 2009.

She's doing well. Her surgery was a success and she also stopped smoking cigarettes, which is wonderful.

    How have you been, Jen?
