Doesn't it seem to you that people have become just more and more greedy over the past several decades? I mean, I'm only 36, so I can't speak from experience about anything before 1980 or so...Before that, I really wasn't much aware of what society in general was like. But from what I've seen, it just seems like people used to understand that there were more important things in life than making an extra buck. And now fewer and fewer people understand that. And more and more people are willing to do worse and worse things to more and more people for even just a little extra money. Do you agree? What's causing this? Why was it better before? How can we make it better again?
Technology is the answer to all your questions. With the constant evolution of technology, it gives people more and more reason to be lazy, and oftentimes laziness comes hand in hand with greed. If you don't have to work hard for what you have, you won't appreciate it, so you just want more and more.
That's very interesting, Kinky. I'll think on that for a while. Also, you might be right, Hotwater. I'll try to think of examples to compare and contrast.
Merriam Webster would be a cool username. Merriam Fucking-Tits Webster would be a sexy, cool username. Merriam Goddamn Webster would be a scary, cool username.
some will springboard from it and others will crutch with it. same as anything else throughout history that made our lives easier.
Not at all. We help lazy bums with money these days and a Democrat is in office. That doesn't illustrate greed, just terrible money mismanagement.
kinky is a smart cookie the want to have more and better things is what allows us to develop further and advancement in society is an important evolutionary step
