"Gravity", peeling and pulsing.

I'm curious about the commonality of experiences that seem to pop up and wonder if there is some reason or theory that someone can come up with for some of this.

"Gravity": for lack of a better word it seems to be a backwards pull. Some describe being pulled by the backs of their heads. Some say it feels like someone or something is yanking their shoulder back. Personally it feels like I am literally melting at high speed through my chair and a giant Shopvac is behind me sucking me into a deep dark void. Sometimes the void seems to take a while to clear before the actual visions begin.

Peeling: this seems to be an aspect of the two dimensional effect that larger amounts seem to induce and is most often accompanied by the clockwise spinning. (anyone spin anti clockwise?) Also the peeling for me takes on the form of a rolled layered substance. At times everything becomes rolled up in this flat two dimensional manner, including myself. On especially heavy experiences, I have found that long after I have become lucid and able to walk and speak normally. I will sometimes for up to 45 mins continue to feel as if the upper left quadrant of my face is still rolling itself into solidity. It begins in the upper left corner and turns inwards like a roll tightening to form a solid. I came across one post that described the exact same upper left quadrant of the face effect and wonder if anyone else has felt this? Do you peel clockwise from upper left inwards or in another way? The best I can describe the feeling is it feels like being in ocean waves for a half hour or so and upon coming onto solid ground the effects of the wave action's back and forth draw continues in a phantom feeling.

Pulsing: Perhaps this is even stranger than either of the two other effects. When a sitter talks to me, every syllable of his words that go into my vision, becomes monosyllables that are spoken in an almost song like manner without the notes. Every four syllables seems to climb in tone and then lowers - up and down for 4. If the sitter is talking in a calm tone of voice the sing song casual aspect seems even more insane because the universe seems to be ripping apart in a black hole type of clockwise swirl. I remember thinking that the person was maybe making fun or light of what seemed like a life or death experience and treating it with amused casual observation. There are no actual notes to this "song" it just raises and lowers every 4 syllables or so almost in a mechical manner. The beat is about the same as a heart beat would be and I wonder if perhaps it is the sound of our own heart pulsating that attributes to this phenomenon.

I've experienced "peeling," but it was different. It was as if my whole world peeled away, and I would still be there, but in a new "layer."

I have experienced the clockwise spinning though, but it wasn't so much a sensation of me spinning as it was a sensation of the things AROUND me spinning. It was as if I were by a large wheel with triangular sections, and each section had a scene from my life in it.

Was the spinning in a clockwise direction? And did the peeling follow the spin from left to right?

Yes I have felt being pulled backwards often and other wierd gravity sensations. For some reason I always feel like the gravity of objects around me is going 'out' instead of 'in' (for example: \ / instead of / \ .) I don't understand why this happens. Also I usually feel like I have been punched in the nose (not painful) and like my nose is bleeding....

    Perfect.

I find the "peeling" effect to be particularly hard to explain to those who've never indulged in the substance. I simply call it "moving in the fourth dimension" because that's what it feels like.

Yeah I've found quite a few more dimensions while on salvia as well, but lately my trips have kind of stagnated so I haven't consumed any salvia in a while.

You sound like you're nailing down some of the effects. Clockwise twist with the pull (and a splitting of the ego). I found it rather uncomfortable.

Yeah... very uncomfortable and thankfully there was a brief period it wasn't going on once I got sucked up into the object causing the spinning. But it resumed once I began coming back to this realm. The weird thing about it is, it doesn't seem to be a normal kind of spinning. Not the type that makes you dizzy or feels like a merry go round. More like the entire universe is caught up in a giant black hole getting sucked in. It feels more like a very strong force. I'm looking forward to trying a much lighter dose to see it the same strong effects happen. Or perhaps after doing this a few more times the effects will go away. The thing I didn't like about it was that I was unable to stop and see what was around me from the moment I entered that world (or at least not that I recall).

    I feel this pulling.
Today was odd because as my body felt pulled back, the reality in front of me looked like it was being pulled down and forward, with something poking me in he back or as if my spine was getting pulled forward with the visuals that were leaving me as the trip started.

I had a genuinely fun and insightful time reflecting on my trip and trying to understand how and why my mind did what it did. There's certainly a lot of psychological exposure going on.

I felt the clockwise peeling as well, then a sharp edge, kinda like being shaved with a woodplane. After that was when I became aware of the presence of 'others' no idea who, but I spoke to them and asked them to take me with, lol. Then they showed me why they could'nt. It was a very powerful revelation in my mind.

The feeling of being removed from my body was kinda scarey at first though, it sure is'nt playing is it?

I have felt all of that gravity, peeling and pulsing. Very strange especially the pulsing, I am confused about a lot of the salvia effects it usually leaves me with a lot of ?s unanswered.

I spin anti-clockwise about half way then everything resets back to nromal then spins agian. I get that peeling effect alot too.

Lol its so strange that everyone has such similarly obscure sensations like this. I know exactly what you mean JC about spinning half way and then resetting, its always anti-clockwise for me aswell, also what HSB said about the sharp edge woodplaning effect. I actually got thinking about this spinning effect while I was in a salvia trip once and came to the conclusion that some people use the left side of thier brain more than the right and some people use the right side more than the left and this controlled which direction you spin in, because the left side of your brain controls the muscles on the right side of your body and visa versa, so the precieved spinning is one side of your brain losing full control of one side of your body momentarily and then over compensating for it causing the "ressetting feeling", but like I said I was in the middle of a sally trip when I was thinking this so it might all be crap, or maybe not...

interesting, I'm gonna have to meditate on that, really interesting. Although i don't think it's litteraly shutting down half of your brain, I'm sure what little research that has been done on sally would have turned that up immedatly. Then agian not enough research that I know of say that it isn't a posability.

Second minor experiment. Resulted in some altered perception for about a minute. Never having done a light trip I was curious. This time the "roller" was in front of me and I went over the top of the cylinder (last time it rolled over me). The ceiling came down so I went into it like dough through a pasta machine. I thought to myself "Oh fuck I hate this part!" and as soon as I thought that, I began coming back. I did a particulary hard trip a couple of weekends ago and I think I'm still a little gun shy. The sensation of being rolled into a 2d flat body is disconcerting to say the least. I'd rather just have my body disintegrate totally!
