As long as he likes it thats all that matters. And remeber they were brought up in the old school and that kinda thing was never even thought of.

you know what I have learned about parents:

THere ain't shit you can do to please them. MY mother is a freak who wants grand babies, Well my sister who is 22 just told her she is having a 3rd baby. SHe flipped out, If I called and told her I had gotten someone pregnant it would be a whole differnt story. their would be mad celerbrations and such

so keep the Hawk I think it rocks, today I dressed up my friends little 18mo girl and I gave her a hawk, and I will admitt ppl loked at Ashley and I as we ran errends around town!

I think it's adorable. It's not like you pierced his nose! They need to realize that YOU are Jimi's mother...they are simply the grandparents. Remind them if they got THEIR parents permission before giving you a haircut. And I'm sure if the situation arises where you need to tone it down, the 'hawk is easily disguisable.

They them you're waiting until he's three to tattoo him!

We are constantly hearing from the grandparents about when we are going to cut Dakota's hair. We always tell them when he asks for a haircut. I think it's just too cute to cut.

I agree completely!! Sage gave himself a haircut, and we had to shave his head. But before that, he had his hair bleached blonde. He saw me doing his dad's hair, and he wanted it done to him, LOL! It's all good. They need to read the quote in my siggy.

Cute babies! I LOVE Dakota's hair, he looks adorable. People used to call my Lennon a "hippy baby." LOL.

Funky, your boy looks really cute. He's YOUR baby, as long as you and he like the hair, that is all that matters. I hate when grandparents want a say in things that aren't their business.

lena, your Sage is so cute. I have a girl, Sage. I wish I could figure out how to post pics.

winding up the grandies is great fun isn't it! I think hair is a great thing to be having turf wars over as it is so harmless and so cannot be taken seriously, so go for it funkyphreshmama...

Dakota has great hair. It would almost be a shame to cut it.

And FunkyPhreshMama- the mohawk's adorable. You and your son have good taste.

my mom didn't complain about my boy's hair, she thought it was beautiful - my x motherinlaw didn't like it one bit though. 'too bad for her' i said.

i think it's really up to you, and your child - whatever you are comfortable with. it's their life, their head, their grief if anyone gets after them about it. i've always been kinda ambivalent about it - whatever makes them happy - it IS just hair.

your boy is so cute with that mohawk!! my boys get the baby's hair to stand up with water to give him a baby hawk - he looks so silly.

everybody has the cutest kids on here - just beautiful, you can see that they are loved & happy :)

my older boys had the greatest hair when they were younger, naturally curly, blond - now their hair is dark brown and straight. go figure. it's still really nice, long or short - right now they have to have short cuts because they are in private school for a year and they bitch sooooo much about it :D but i keep tellin them it'll grow back - it's just hair.

    here's a pic when they were about 3 & 5 - with their peter frampton hair :)

While I might not do the mohawk thing with my sons (nothing wrong with it, just couldn't imagine it on my boys' heads *lol*) I think Jimi looks absolutely adorable! What a cutie! Gramma needs to lighten up a bit! ;)

And Dakota, what beautiful hair he has! When my oldest son was a baby/toddler, we didn't cut his hair for the longest time. People thought he was a girl because he didn't have the typical short "do". *lol* His hair was just too cute to cut.

Such adorable kids the two of you have. :)

Gr8. In that first pic, the child on our right looks SO much like my dd Moon, it almost scared me. She is 16 and STILL has that hair.

    What beautiful children.

thank you Maggie, that's my oldest son Harley. the younger son is Levi. i often wonder if i'd have never cut their hair if they'd still have it like that... they decided they wanted it cut after they started school, Harley mostly because he got tired of the girls chasing him to try to kiss him!!! lol!!!

BEAUTIFUL children Gr8fulyDeadicated. They looked so much alike in that first picture that I thought they were twins for a second!

I can imagine that they STILL have a bunch of girls chasing after them. ;)
