Got my tongue pierced!!

I've been wanting to do this forever, and I just thought I'd share my happiness..hehe Just got it yesterday, and it is hurting like a bitch.. The second pic is just something I thought turned out kinda cool. Peace!

SEE!! That is the exact reason I wanted it Ry. Everybody always says "you just don't look like that type of person"..lol Man have I got some folks fooled.. I was just hanging out with some friends at a tattoo parlor..buzzed, of course, and said fuck it..I'm doing this shit. It didn't hurt when he did it, but ohhhhhh boy, this morning.....

I got my tongue pierced when I was 17 and still living with my parents. Of course, I didn't want them to know so I didn't mention it. I got it done in the morning, and I had to work that afternoon. My mom was being nice and made me a big burger with A1 Bold & Spicy steak sauce before work. I had no choice but to eat it, even though it was only about 3 hours since I had gotten the piercing. Let me just say OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! My tounge swelled up and I could barely talk for the next day or so.

i took mine out a while ago.....i had too much of a habit of rubbing it against the inside of my gums and it was starting to do damage. i would do it without even realizing it so i took it out.

No bold and spicy for me..no thanks. I think what made mine hurt so bad, was the bright idea of McDonalds fries..the salt. As of now I'm living on ice water..lol Surely to GOD it'll get better by tomorrow. It's not infected or anything..it looks good as far as that goes.

After a couple of weeks I'm just gonna get one of those little plastic ball thingies..I'm not digging this metal shit too much. And like someone else said, I'm kinda afraid it's gonna do damage to my teeth.

If you replace it with a plastic piercing, I'd be careful. They tend to break and come unscrewed more easily. I recommend using bees wax on the threading to help keep them together.

 

The thought of actually using this thing right now makes me want to vomit.. Ohhh but one day soon, yes..one day soon. :sunglasse Thanks for the advice on the bees wax..I'll have to remember that. I'm definately changing over to plastic though. This metal thing clanging around is already getting on my nerves..lol
