Got caught and released....

I was arrested Friday night... I was riding a bike at 2AM with no lights on it... joyriding....

I was held and they asked if they could search my bag.... I said no for 30 minutes... they sniffed it with a dog... then they decided to arrest me for loitering, and they searched it...

They found 2 hits. They didn't tell me anything about it... I wasn't charged with anything besides loitering... and they let me go when I bonded out for the loitering charge.

All of my possessions that I arrived with were still there, except the doses were removed from the foil, but they left me the unwrapped foil...

Am I off scot free? It is not enough to be trafficking... not even close... and this is my first offense at ANYTHING... my first arrest ever....

Are they waiting for lab results... or am I just off...

I heard the officer say when they booked me.... "he was delivering"... so they obviously knew what was going on.

I feel so lucky.

And also... the statutes in my state (Florida) say that 1 gram is trafficking... how much would you actually need to have 1 gram... that seems like a lot of paper.... and what about 5g?? 7g??

What if it were on SweetTarts... would they weigh the tarts? What if it's liquid... would they weigh the Visine bottle?... or just get the weight of the liquid.

2 hits does not weigh 1 gram... a nickel weighs 5g.

Anyone have experience with this?

well i got some hits and shared em with some friends, and i guess one of those friends shared it with the cops. so i was charged with 2 sales of 2 ten strips. but in NY they dont take pure weight. cops have a mini lab test kit in there cars. but they could be holding it. i was arrested june 28 2009. i sold 1 ten strib oct 3 2008 and another 10 oct 6th 2008. they waited a year to arrested me. i had pretrial today they dropped it down. ill prob end up with probation, max is a 1year jail 1 year prob. but ill prob get like 2 or 3 years probation. or something. i think inless they charge u right there and then for it, they cant. they only have like a certian time frame for those charges to take effect after the arrest. they prob dident feel like dealing with all the paper work, that or u had a really fucking cool bike. either or, i think u should be okay but u can never know so stay on ur toes man. maybe they will be watching you, who knows. just be careful of what u have at your house. best of luck man. u should be okay. but stay on ur toes.

either that, or now that they know you had LSD, they are keeping tabs on you in hopes of landing a bigger charge on you + others.

 

When my car was searched an marijuana was found it took the cops 3 months to decide to arrest and charge me.

If they arrest you, and this is your first drug offense all you need to do is beat trafficking charges you should be able to get probation or drug court probation.

Get a lawyer if they charge you with trafficking.

If you live in a small town they are watching you. If you live in a city they are probably not watching you.

 

just so you know man in USA your total drug weight measurement may include any devices clearly attached to the drug, such as a pipe, or 2 hits area of blotter paper.

 

My first thought was that they'll issue a warrant on you later. But now that I think about it, the search was BS and they know it. It wouldn't stand up in court against a good lawyer. I think you're all set.

Ive been picked up twice and had stuff taken from me on the street by police, touch wood ive not heard anything and its been years now ..

The second time they emptied me out on the street they didnt even take my address, they just asked my name, searched me took what i had including a joint i was smoking at the time ..

They prob drove off and lit it up emselves ..

Like said ive been caught twice, and ive made it to 25 yrs old without any criminal record at all ...

The cops probably don't want more work than they already have. The police showed up at my house once because a dude was being disorderly, they ignored the big joint and one hitter I left right on the table... looked right at it, walked away. Told the dude to get his things so he could leave, and then they went about their business.

I think you're probably fine. Too much work for two hits.

i had pretrial the other day. max im getting is 1year jail 1 year probation pretty much this is how my raid went down.

i had a QP in my wall.
2oz in my lock box 2xtc tabs.

they missed the xtc tabs. took my 2oz of weed *my foolish error*
becuase 6 in the morning my dad tells me drug task force is here i grab my oz, if i never grabed my weed i would have never been charged they where there. so, pretty much i took that shit to the bathroom becuase we where doing constrction on our bathroom and i was going to throw it above our shower in this little slot that only i can reach becuase im 6'5. but they cought me in the hall. they where like " are you going to flush this?" i was like "naw i figure if im going to be arrested i better be stoned" they laughed and continued to search my house, sat in jail 5 days got released on pretrial probation. i was apart of a drug ring bust. but it was funny becuase im nothing but a tadpole. so ive been going through court for these ridiclous charges from last oct. i did my plea and im looking at 1 year max, with 1 year prob. ill prob just get probation due to the fact my pretrial probation officer said to me "if i had more clients like you, id be out of a job" but ive been working full time, been clean of drugs for about 4 months, attending drug and alch. sucks. but hey do what i gotta do. but seriously, i they arnt to harsh, not like they make it seem. back in the day 1 hit would put u away. they got me for 2 sales. 2 sales! each sales counts as a poss. each poss and sales is a C felony! they dropped it down to D's horray ^_^ but crazy. u should be fine bro.

LOL weeds nothing. i love it. they missed a entire QP of weed in my room, and they missed xtc tabs too. they are so bad at there job lol. but damn its been one hell of an experiance.
