Hello! One of the rules of chivalry is to at all times oppose evil. To tell you the truth I get goose bumps watching a scary movie. But according to the rules I would have to stand against the evil or die trying. So I am just wondering if there is anyone who believes that because of the “power” in the “rules” of chivalry I would find the courage, strength or knowledge to defeat the evil?
chivalry is good and all that, but let's face it. if some guy is running at you with a machete, and you see a way out the back door, take it. who the heck is gonna blame you.
Since when did chivalry have anything to do with morality or ethics? It was a code of social conduct, not a set of ethical guidelines. The difference in the two being that social conduct is all about behaving the way other people think you should behave, whereas morals are based on doing what you know in your heart to be right.
