Have you ever listened to a song that's so increbidble that when it hits the part where it peaks you get goosebumps? that's happened to me a couple time and all i could manage to think was 'whoa!'
Yeah, that always happens when I hear "Careful With That Axe, Eugene". God, I love Pink Floyd. It also happens when I hear "Suicide and Other Comfors" and "Amor e Morte" by Cradle Of Filth.
I get goosbumps a lot when I listen to music. I would say that 1 in every 5 songs I hear, one part makes me shudder.
There are so so so many songs that give me goosebumps. Sometimes because the song is just SO good, and sometimes because the song has a special meaning to me..
I always get goosebumps when listening to music... Especially when im along really enjoying the music...
for sure, a few I can think of: clearlight - clearligh symphony part 2 pink floyd - saucerful of secrets sebastian hardie - openings camel - a few parts in mirage and snow goose in general and ending guitar solo in dust in dreams Recordando o Vale das Maçãs - guita solo in Himalaia (seriously the Brazilian Hendrix) Kaipa - Sist På Plan Fruupp - The Perfect Wish Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Tarkus )drum solo) Mike Oldfield - A New Beginning Van Der Graaf Generator - A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers Nektar - (good portion of the) Journey To The Centre Of The Eye cd Colosseum - Valentyne Suite Bod Dylan Itoiz - large portion of self titled cd Kebnekaise - Comanche spring Supertramp - Hide in youe shell Still Life - Don't go k, I'll stop, sure there's more

yea the second solo in a live version of pink floyd's "dogs", thats the only one I can think of right now.............
Happens every now and again, usually listening to Floyd. For me Goosebumps are an indication the music has gone to the next level...............or the window needs shutting. hehe.
i get goosebumps EVERY time i listen to the last jam on "Space Wrangler" from Widespread Panic...or "Diner"...amazing, intense jams...and i LOVE the words to "Sugar Magnolia" by Grateful Dead...awesome stuff!
I once read that the goosebumps thing was related to some evolutionary thing in mammals that we've not lost where on hearing the cry of offspring results in temporary lowering of the parents body temperature that kicks in some flight or fight response. Apparently, whether you believe this or not, but certain musical scales particularly ones using minor chords can trigger this response too. Nice idea although don't know how true it really is. Come in handy for shaving ones whiskers though I find, stick on a favourite piece of music and hey presto the cleanest shave you'll ever have because all those little follicles are standing to attention lol
Pink Floyd was a main goosebump moment for me when the drum's come in on 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' and when 'Breathe' Starts after 'Speak To Me' and also on the guitar solo for 'Comfortably Numb'.
i think my biology teacher said goosebumps are used in other mammals, they increase the body temperature by raising the hairs. but since humans don't have as much hair it doesn't really do anything for us. or maybe not, i'm usually sleeping in there so i could be wrong.
that kinda makes sense too, like when a cat gets scared or pissed off its fur stands on end and the back arches in readiness for a fight or running off
