Google has invented a self-driving bicycle.
You've got to see this to believe it.

    What a great invention!

They picked the perfect place to develop and test it, the Netherlands.

Having lived and bicycled in Amsterdam, I learned it can be dangerous despite all the bike lanes.

So this is revolutionary and apparently safer than a Segway.
They can't tilt over. They can be summoned with an app.

    They avoid traffic safely.

So what's next? Self-driving scooters and motorbikes?

    LOL.....

I want to see the gyroscopes keeping that thing from falling over, but wait, there is nowhere to hide a gyroscope heavy enough to counter-balance the bikes weight......

At the end of the video it says "only available on April 1st" so kinda obvious gag.

    Teehee...

That was kinda the giveaway for me too. Even after it seemed so obviously pointless and nearly as unworkeable as self driving cars.

Oh sure, let's have computers driving everything, there there will no accidents.

I don't get automatic self riding fitness machines. Doesn't that just take the idea out of exercising? Like, if you're too lazy to ride a bike take a bus or something instead. Now all the pathways will just be full of knuckleheads, lazy knuckleheads daudling around like an old wife in her Sunday dresses. I really hate inventions sometimes. :toetap05:

Totally agree, even though this was obviously a tongue and cheek joke.
