i've dreamt that my goldfish got sick, I got extremely upset. so we took them to the hospital and they've undergone surgery. (how do they even operate goldfish?) i wanted to go into the operation room to watch, but they didn't let me. i don't know if they survived because i woke up. the curious thing is that i don't even like fish. i don't like them neither as pets nor as food. any opinions?
the mind works in mysterious ways. that's what i love about it. all these catalogs of one to one interpretations spoil half the fun. there is a random element in how dreams are put together, and some times it grabs contrary symbols just to be contrary. not all of my own dreams are completely without paved highways or the concept of money. just most of them. it sounds like the idea here, is of fascination denied, of small and demandingly precise intricacies. like maybe how its not such a good idea to repress interest in other-then-social imaginative and creative aspects.
In general water is the symbol for the collective unconscious and fish represent psychic complexes (with their own life) within, so if they get sick there may something be happening to unconscious complexes (archetyps or others) that needs to be fixed, surgery with a knive that represents cutting intellect so you know what to do: your sharp intellect can save something here. But regarding just one isolated dreamis not of much use, needs a series... good luck
