Hi Hi! My friend and i are gonna be visiting NY for about a month.. For the most part while we're in the city we're going to try to stay at hostels, but outside of the city we want to camp out... Does anyone know of any good camping spots...Ive read of some but they say you have to drive really far into the area and we dont have a car.. id appreciate any advice =) We're going from the the city and ending up in buffalo, NY.:smoking:
How will you be traveling across the state? There are a lot of good places to camp, but I could be more helpful if I knew more about your itinerary. Plus, the New York state tourism department has, literally, metric tons of info and free pamphlets, et cetera. But when you get to the central new york area, Ithaca is a good place to not miss. And there are several nice camping sites there, and a beautiful gorge trail to experience. Feel free to pm or something, I've done loads of camping in the area and would be happy to share whatever helpful knowledge I can.
