My Wifey and I have only just finished watching this CONTAGION film which was made in2011.
Crikey it gave us the shivers and was very close to the bone in respect of what is going on right now with the Corona Virus.
A very good and well made and well acted film though that I recommend you watch.

Have you seen the film, or will you now watch it?

Any thoughts about the film, particularly if you have seen it.
    Is it relevant to today?

    About

Oscar®-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven films, Traffic) returns to large-scale cinema with this global action thriller that revolves around the threat of a deadly outbreak of a fatal disease and the people determined to keep it at bay.
As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself.
At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.
A stellar international ensemble cast including Academy Award® winners Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and nominees Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne portray the dedicated doctors at the CDC and World Health Organization who rush to contain the outbreak of a new virus.

    I know I've seen it, but I don't remember it. :)

Netflix, too, is rife with movies like that. I know I saw "Outbreak" somewhere; at least I think it's called "Outbreak".

just saw a meme, a protest sign actually, "every horror movie begins with a scientist being ignored".
i don't know if that's literally true about movies and books, but it sure seems to have predicted our present real life.
(horror is really not my genre. fiction ABOUT science, and engineering and technology and art and figuring out ways to put together societies that don't screw people, is).

From what I remember, it was kind of boring

Watched it when it came out, havent watched it since

Prefer a good zombie movie for that apocalyptic feel
