Ministers are always asking their congregation for funds. Even those members who can't easily give. Like retirees and widows. But I always tell people. Your god is the God of Infinity. Infinite love, infinite goodness, infinite time, or eternity. Why not ask him. Some fundamentalists seem to know what I am referring to, and even where the Bible supports this: "God is infinitely rich, because he owns all that is, and because he can make more of anything that he pleases out of nothing." -John Piper, www.desiringgod.org "Any wealth, power, or strength we have originated with God. Any gift or talent we have – the same is true (James 1:17; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11). Even our ability to give generously comes from God (Deuteronomy 8:18; 2 Corinthians 9:10-11). Everything we have, and everything else that exists, is all his." -Jill Foley Turner, www.ncfgiving.com And, on www.quora.com someone asked: "Can the power of God make me a billionaire?" A lady there replied: "The power of God is limitless and can manifest in various ways , including financial abundance. However, it is important to remember that wealth is not the ultimate goal in life and should not be the sole focus of our prayers . Instead, we should seek God 's guidance and use our blessings to help others and further His kingdom." And remember, in Matthew 19:23-24 Jesus says: "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." But, the passage goes on: "When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Which is what I have been telling people for years! If you're a preacher and you need a new Mercedes, ask God. He's infinitely rich. In other words $∞. Not just googol dollars or googolplex. Infinity, plain and simple. He'll be glad to help you. He's fat and jolly. And he's always happy to serve. Wait a minute, no. Like Homer Simpson says in "I Married Marge" (air date: December 26, 1991) "No, wait, he's always mad". So he may not help you. Though, if you're going to ask anyone, ask a rich person anyways. Because they have more wealth and sometimes it just works out to their advantage to give people they don't like money. That's called Fordism. Here, look it up: Fordism - Wikipedia
