I remember talking to God on acid or shrooms one time. Funny thing is I never believed in him, not before, not after. But man, I definitely felt him that night.

i hate using the word God because it connotes the existence of a seperate being. i suppose it doesn't always, like in pantheism, where God is nature. I suppose i'm just frustrated because there are so many interpretations that sometimes i can call myself an atheist and sometimes i can't. perhaps i'm just getting caught up in the semantics. ultimate reality cannot be truly expressed with words. to both of you above, how do you define god?

^how do you know that presence was "God", and not just some deeper aspect of your subconcious attempting to reconnect with you. If a connection with part of yourself was weak, it would be very easy to think it was a seperate force.

    Buddha on God:

Buddha enters a village. One man asks "Is there a God?" Buddha says, "Yes".

In the afternoon, another man asks, "Is there a God?" Buddha says, "No".

Then in the evening, a third man asks, "Is there a God?" Buddha remains silent.

Buddha's disciple, Ananda, becomes puzzled. He heard all three answers. In the night when everyone had retired, he asked Buddha, "Can I ask you a question? Just in one day you have answered one question in three ways, and not only different but contradictory. My mind is puzzled. I cannot sleep if you don't answer. What do you mean? In the morning you say yes, in the afternoon no, in the evening you remain silent. And the question was the same."

Buddha said, "But the questioners were different. And how can different questioners ask the same question?" This is really beautiful, very deep. He said "How can different questioners ask the same question? A question comes out of a being, it is a growth. If a being is different, how can the question be the same? In the morning when I said yes the man who was asking was an atheist. He had come to get my confirmation that there was no God. And I could not confirm his Atheism, because he was suffering becuase of it, and becuase I could not be a part of his suffering and I wanted to help him, I said, 'Yes, God exists.' That's how I tried to destroy his so-called atheism.

"In the afternoon, when the other person was there, he was a theist and he was suffering through his theism. I couldn't say yes to him because that would have been a confirmation, which he had come for. Then he would go and say, 'Yes, whatsoever I was saying is right, Even Buddha says so.' And the man was wrong. I could not help a wrong man in his wrongness, so I had to say no to destroy whatsoever he is, to shatter his mind.

"The man who came in the evening was neither. He was a simple, innocent man and was not asking for any confirmation. He had no ideology; he was really a religious person. So I had to be silent. I said to him, 'Be silent about this question. Don't think about it.' If I had said yes, it would have been wrong because he was not there to find a theology. If I had said no, it would have been wrong, because he was not to be confirmed by any atheism. He was not interested in thoughts, in ideas, in theories, doctrines, no; he was a real religious man. How could I utter any word before him? I had to be silent. He understood my silence. When he went away, his religiousness had deepened."

If Chirsthanity, Islam & Judaism are right then you were created in the image of God.

In my personal belif God is the highest form of energy and every soul is just energy broken off from this allmighty source. I don't believe there is a lower from of god for God is the most high IMO. Maybe you are a prophet, a wiseman, or maybe you are the anti-christ who knows, and Im too stoned to care.

You should change your screen name to Itsallgod;)

We are all god. Our own fears, beliefs, and delusions keep us from realizing that. We are all the one, the all mighty. All separateness from this oneness is a illusion.

If you feel you are some lower god you would know, you would have unbelievable natural and supernatural abilities. You'd be able to see through the universe as if standing back from time.

Being a lower god still isn't the point of the game. You must come to the all supreme self, god almighty, the brahman, the oneness! Everything is one, there is no separateness from god. We are just the one experiencing the one, we much reach this understanding.

"Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom?" Jesus said to them: "When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, then you shall enter the kingdom."

    god is singular

i was thinkin in my head one time when i was blazed this theory...

what if god divided itself into fragments (humans, animals) and tricked itself into believing that there are other separate bodies just so it wouldn't be alone

I think you are a perfect image of God inside and out.

Which would prolly include you feeling godlike.

God be the soul above all souls. Sumpreme collective consciousness, consciousness encompassing all others. When you asleep you think there is all these people and jank, then you wake up and your like oh it was just me, in my head. Same thang with God. Hes awake. This universe is just a thought process of god, hes dreaming up some wild ass stuff.
