God and marijuana

im sure this has been asked before but i was wondering how does God feel about marijuana is it okay or is it a sin?

 

you know i hope somebody answers you on this one.... i have always thought about that also.

but i heard in the bible that people talk about smoking the herb all the time. so i dunno...

"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' "

 

interesting, does that mean all drugs you take by mouth arent bad?

 

guess that would depend on what comes out of your mouth after you take them.

In other words, it's OK to inhale, just please don't exhale.

 

well unless you eat special brownies!!!

 

I think we can all agree that god gave us special brownies because he wants us to enjoy them.

If he made it, then he knew what he was doing, what it would do, what it was supposed to do, and how it would be used. I dun think any one could've pulled one over on him by 'misusing' the herb and smoking something that he made..

 

In a way, rejecting marijuana is rejecting God.

 

i agree, well i really hope so. well it brings me closer to God- God is love, laughter and happiness, and they are the feelings i get whilst high- wooooh I love God

why are you people so worried about what your god would think of your actions....is it not your intentions behind those actions that matter? can your god not look into your heart and see those intentions? if it feels positive, it is. if it dosent, its not.

All kinds of have substances can be helpful and hurtful, it depends on how much, how often, and why one would take a given substance. Drugs taken for spiritual enlightement is a misuse. 'Why?', you might ask, because escaping from reality is not a spiritual quest to start with. Drugs cloud the things that are real in our lives. 'What is real?', living our lives in a prudent healthy manner is real, not cutting it short with abusive drug use.

 

you assume every one who uses drugs is trying to escape reality. just because an individual uses drugs, dosent mean he abuses drugs.

 

i dont try to escape reality at all i make sure thats not the reason i toke man

 

herb opens many cells in our brains "that otherwise would stay closed . yeah man doors to spirituallity ..the doors are opening .
