    what is more important?
My friend said a man MUST have some main goal in life to make reasonable existence...otherwise he'll live in vain
i realized i live in vain coz i have no great goals in my life
    just dreams...lots of abstract dreams...

i don't agree with him though...
    do YOU?

I think the ultimate goal is happiness, and fulfilling your dreams is a big part of that.

It's not about having a goal, it's about making it possible for you to realise your dreams.

In order to realise your dreams you must think of them abstractly, idealistically, and realistically at the same time... most people cannot do that.

    Happiness comes and goes....

Most of the time it just goes.

Depends on where you are, in that it's personal.

I've found that dreams tend to merely be more extravagant versions of goals. So, either way, you're gonna have goals... But dreams are pretty much cooler.

i think dreams can be like goals....beacuase you can set out to do something that seems realistic but it ends somehow ends up not happening
i think both are important because no matter how realistic or unrealistic they are they both leave you with wanting to live....for the future...and sometimes whether or not someone gets the goal or dream there is always something they learn from it...or in some cases something positive may come out of it

the thing is i understand that i can't fulfill my dreams if they are so abstract
but i can't make them more definite...
i think having goals is rather dull...but realistic

I agree with this. I have no particulair goal neither, but I do have a lot of dreams. Which I'm not all going to realize.
You're not living in vain if you'll try to live your life good without a specific main goal!

Goals and dreams more or less coincide with each other. Ambition is the key to personal success; goals and dreams are the fundamental things that push you for that ambition.

Not many people act upon impulsive thoughts though.

However, if you keep dreaming you won't keep achieving.
