Well black would absorb the heat. White would reflect it, but it would be trapped by c02 in the atmosphere, thus it's the whites who are responsible....
They would suggest more overall fluffiness, hence making the user more insulated requiring less heating requirement, which would in turn slow down global warming due to less energy demand however the upkeep of massive boobies would require even greater energy *weeps*

I think we should all try to be clean and environmentally friendly anyway. Try and recycle things, shop at Sainsburys (Because they now have compost friendly carrier bags. They break down quicker) Try and walk places or take the train, instead of taking your car for a 2 minute trip to the newsagents. Encourage your children to walk to school. When they grow up they will actually enjoy walking. Try not to use air freshners but use the ones with neatra air as with air freshner, you need to keep spraying each day to get the benefit. Sort out your tins from your plastic bottles and your paper from your polysteriene. Also make sure you don't fly tip as they can have a negative affect on wildlife. Do you know what happens to metal chucked into a stream? I don't believe we are a major problem to the earth, but do believe we can all clean up our act. Oh and instead of washing at 60, wash at 30/.
john- I was reading - that even though Sainsburys have biodegradable bags - it depends on if the tip that thy are deposited in ''breath's''. If it does not - then those bags take as long to degrade as any other thing that is there - well maybe not as long - but not very quickly.
In America they use paper carrier bags. Or as they call it Grocery bags. Using paper would be a much better biodegradable or recyclable aset to every shopper. I don't know why we don't have paper and seem to rely heavily on polytetraflourietheline
That might place an even greater strain on rainforests. What would be best would probably be a re-useable cloth bag, which some supermarkets have started to sell and even give out free on certain days. Ideally they would simply end the distribution of disposeable bags, that would force customers to use permanent bags. Either way the problem is less one of the actual material and more one of re-useability....
a lot of places don' even use bags. you bring your own bags or boxes. there are also lots of markets that use the boxes that their stuff arrives in for the customers to carry home their goods.
