Are you concerned about global warming if the arctic ice melts do you think your home will be underwater , will you take in refugees or drive them back into the sea .

What are you actually doing about it , are you localising are you buying less recycling and re-using more do you walk or cycle
do you intend doing stuff in the future
are you involved in green politics

I haven't used my car for about 6 weeks, I have been using the trams and the metro :)
I try to recycle and compost as much as possible, particularly when in the UK. It's a little more difficult here, as I don't read/speak Czech, but I like taking my empty bottles back to the supermarket here because they give you tokens for your shopping!

I could be doing a whole lot more to help to save the planet though...

It's good to people going through so much effort to point out the seriousness of GLOBAL WARNING :boat:

Everybody should check the link. Here's a couple of things that my family is doing to help.

    A. Given up my car.
    B. We don't use gas (though we do use electric cooker and lights, tv etc...)
    C. Switch off all lights and appliances. NO STAND BY.
    D. We chop wood and use that instead of coal to heat the house and water.
    E. Recycle.
    F. Wear more clothes in winter, rather than burning more fuel.

There are other things we do but it's still not enough... The age of aquarius is upon us. I don't know how the older generations in charge can look us in the eye.

haven't watched the links yet but will when i have a better opportunity too.

what i've done so far to help the environment:

    1. i don't have a car, so i use public transport or walk everywhere. also don't have a bike but that's on my wish-list.
    2. good old veganism
    3. recycling more and more as each day goes... i'm getting more fanatical about it too though.
    4. reusing old plasic containers that i can't recycle
    5. routinely switching off appliances (even though it annoys a few people).
    6. i shout at people if they try to through things away that can be recycled or reused. they might learn then.

I would agree except for 'D' - is there much difference between burning wood and burning coal - you can get smokeless coal too

I think F is the most important

well wood if you grow trees to replavce the wood you have just burned is carbon nuetral so doesnt add to global warming

http://flood.firetree.net/ map showing areas to be flooded if sea levels rise my house would likely be flooded as I live in a low lying seaside town .
