Tickets don't go on sale until the beginning of April. They will probably sell out within a few hours, so it's vital to get online and stay online to try to buy them the moment they go on sale. Also, this year, they have a bizarre system whereby you have to register to say that you want to buy a ticket. You'll have to do this in February. Check out www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk
Aye, I was a bit worried I wouldn't get tickets, so I've just applied to work it instead. Litter picking, four shifts, six hours each. It's kinda perfect for me, as you can start at 5am if you wish, and I'm often wandering 'round festivals at that hour thinking, "look at this bloody mess". Other benifits for workers (should anyone be thinking about it): Hot showers! 2 meals a day, your own camping area and all the tea and coffee you can put away
Too many students with too much money (i.e. blowing there loans/mummy and daddy) for my taste any more.
You hear a lot of this kind of thing ("it's not how it used to be" etc), but frankly, what does it matter where the "students" present got their beer money from? It's still a jolly good week - if all you care about is the class, money and fashions of other people present then probably a festival isn't for you ... it's what you make of it, and there's still plenty of great music and weird and wonderful experiences to be had "It's not like it was when I was young" - who cares?
I have a fancy for T In The Park aswell this year. It's looked great the last couple of years, line up wise. And I hear both David Bowie and Radiohead are rumoured this year!
By the way, you have to send off a mugshot of yourself and your address in February this year. You get a ticket with your face on it, so it makes it impossible for punters...
