Which do you prefer Glass or Acrylic...

Heres why im asking if you care. . .
I am buying a new bong soon, and i dont know what to go with. I dont have a lot of $$ and was just curious, do you think smoking out of an acrylic bong taste as good, hits as good, and works jus as good as a glass piece? any replys will be helpful thanks.

Ive always favored glass, but if i were in your situation, i would look at 2 things. Price, and ice. Depending what kind of cash you got, acrylic can be a lot cheaper, but still hit as good, and function exactly the same. The more money you have...there are endless posibilities with glass, as with acrylic, there isnt as much of an selection. With the ice... Ive always been told not to put ice in an acrylic piece. I love icy water, and ice catchers. I guess it depends how much you care. As for taste, ive never noticed a difference.

Yeahh if you want something that your sure is going to last long and you dont have much money at the moment then get an Acrylic bong, ive never been disapointed by them and they hit like nuts... Glass bongs are great dont get me wrong, but they are expensive, they can brake/pop.Definetly recommend the acrylic;)

But yeah if ever you have lots of money to spare get glass one, they hit alot.

yea that would suck major.. I got a glass bong.. and it works wonderfull.. with the pull bowl.. it gets you so baked.. but in ur situation i'd go with Acrylic.. seein how you don't got much money and they last for a long time.. so you can always save up to buy a glass one after..

If it was me I'd just buy a glass one. Breaking isn't a problem if you treat it nice and don't move it alot. If you're gonna sit in your room and toke up just get glass. If you're gonna go to partys and shit you should get acrylic cuz you can toss it around and be fine.

ok if you have ever made a water bottle bong (wich is plastic, not exactly acrylic but similar) they smell like SHIT!!! With a glass bong you can leave the water in for a while and youlle never smell it unless you stick your nose right up in there. but with plastic if you leave an acrylic bong in your room with used bong water your either gonna get caught or driven out by the smell. go with glass man its the way to go!!

The difference is the bong won't stink, it's just the water. Plastics are so porous you can never get them 100% and totally get rid of the smell/taste. They also crack horribly when touching alcohol

Glass bongs are way easier to clean, I don't know where you are getting your info from. Put some rubbing alcohol and salt in your bong, shake, and it's perfectly clean. There is no way that plastic is superior to glass, other than throw it up against the wall durability.

Plastic bongs have their place, if you are in a situation that needs one I say go for it. Better to have a plastic bong than a broken glass one. In my opinion glass bongs hit and taste way better than any plastic bong, but if you don't have much cash might as well go with an acrylic.

I've got both a glass and acrylic bong, and personally, I prefer the glass one. I don't notice any difference in the taste, though, I just appreciate the art that glass pieces are. Acrylic ones are always much lighter, and usually easier to transport, but, when it comes strictly to enjoying toking, glass ones are very worth the extra fat bucks...
