OK, maybe is all about my perfume, maybe I will have more luck if you tell me which to buy? So girls, tell me, which mens cologne turn you on? :afro:
I don't per say like the smell of cologne.. some kinds can be really strong an overpowering. But some men just smell good.. hard to explain. Lol.
I hate Axe and the other one they market for teenage boys. That stuff makes me sick. How women choose the right perfume: Spray a little on and after a while, if you don't notice the scent, its perfect. If you can still smell it, then it's probably not the right one for you. My DH says he does the same thing. He wears Polo (Ralph Lauren) the green bottle. I love it on him! You need to do that and find the right one for your body chemistry.
I like slightly sweaty bodies. Not God-awful BO, but genuinely worked bodies. But if a gal wafts some 4711 near me, I melt!
My fav colognes to wear for the ladies are as follows. Gucci Guilty Tommy Ralph Lauren If you smell a guy with axe, then yes you probably wont be too turned on but these are straight seduction.
Oh good, I'm not the only person out there who doesn't like axe, and I am a guy who refuses to wear it because the smell literally burns my nose and gives me a headache. I never could understand ladies who could snuggle up to their boyfriends or husbands who wore the stuff. --- I am also adverse to a lot of other scents too, if they smell artificial, subtle or not, I leave the area if possible. @everyone who has responded thus far, do you all agree with me that perfume or cologne, in no way is meant to mask bad body odor or oily unclean smells? Because I know a lot of people tend to use such products with that intent after using a body deodorant in combo with perfume or cologne. Also I've noticed that in certain cultures that don't highlight the importance of taking a bath or showering everyday, people from said cultures tend to bathe and use such products in the way I described above. Have you noticed this too? What are your thoughts and opinions on the matter because I think it doesn't work and it doesn't fool me. Does it fool you?
I taught Middle and High school, so I had to endure these poor teenage boys spraying tons of Axe thinking it made them attractive. If I was a teenage girl, I'd ignore the guys with Axe. Love the commercials because they are funny. Perfume/Cologne was invented because 100s of years ago, people didn't bathe and used it to cover up the smell. I didn't realize in this day and age, people don't take showers, but cover up the smell with perfume/cologne. I'm Indian and my husband is white. When we were dating he said that my clothes and books I gave him smelled of curry. (We ate curry A LOT). I never noticed it. I shower 2x daily, so it wasn't me, it was my clothes. Didn't bother him, it was just an observation.
It's not a turn off unless it's too strong but if a man has his right scent about him he don't need it. Bad enough their pit stick is strong enough to make them lose friends at the lift of an arm.
Intersting opionions so far. For sure, so far I was big fan of perfumes, not colognes, but it's hard to explain how different products can be. Same as with perfumes - one you like but other you can't smell at all. I have few perfumes, but also have some great colognes, and belive me, some girls react only on good cologne. That's my favourite!!! :2thumbsup: Here you have some great colognes and reviews, including Polo: clicky :afro:
But it's also true that you wouldn't smell it if you grew up with those scents, your brain desensitized those smells as "normal" for you so it doesn't bug you. Also even if one takes a shower certain spices like turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, and curry are metabolized in the body if you eat them regularly and such scents are excreted by one's sweat glands. --- I need to give Ralph Lauren's products a try I might be jumping to conclusions.
