1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

    Alright, here is my idea...:hurray:

I am sure we all have that one person on our Christmas List who is impossiable to buy for. Maybe we could all put our minds together and brainstorm? Offer a brief description of the person, (likes, dislikes, age and gender) and we'll see what comes of it?

I am totally stuck on my stepfather. He married my mother when I was 5, so he is basically my Dad. My sisters and I are going to go together on something for him. Our idea was a "beer of the month" club membership, but none seem to ship to Canada, or atleast not to Saskatchewan.

Dad is a math teacher. He likes logic games like Suduko (bought him an electronic suduko game from my son for Christmas) and also enjoys poker and bridge. He likes sports, but gave up curling a couple years ago. He likes to grow tomatoes in the summer and loves to golf. Wants to get into bow hunting, but I am not comfortable with buying him anything "death related". He enjoys travelling... has been to Greece, Australia and Asia. Is not really a "mans man". Doesn't watch TV or movies...doesn't seem to read much either anymore.

Any takers? We got him a poker table, chips and cards last year.

Help me, and I will help you?:santa:

How much money you talking about? I'm not buying gifts this year, everything's gonna be hand made and if they don't like it too freakin bad.

get him one of those indoor hydroponic set-ups to grow his tomatos year round.
a nice manly sort of coffee table book (lots of shiny pictures, not too many words, men dig that)

Cre- my mom is getting him a bunch of bow hunting stuff, so I want to go in a different direction but thanks for giving it a go!
