Hello! well in me and my sister's room we have alot of junk. on the floor by my bed is all the books and scrapbooks and notebooks and its all scattered. I give some stuff to my friends and some to goodwill..but what elce can I do with it? i want to get rid of alot of it..but i dont know where to begin? i dont know what exactly to get rid of, and what to keep? my stuff is spread out everywhere! i dont really have any money to buy any fancy shelves or anything. any advice? i figure having a less cluttered room and only keeping the things that i need and have 'sentimental' value will make me feel better. thank you! :)

I used to have the same problem. When you get right down to it, the only way to solve it is to just throw that shit away. Get a trash bag and pick something up. If you need it; toss it aside. If you don't; throw it away. Really think about what you really need too. Over time, I think you'll start convincing yourself you need to keep something(even for sentimental reasons), when you really just need to force yourself to trash it. Good luck.

    I hate stuff.
I love having very little stuff because I don't like having crap I don't need.
I love throwing out lightly sentimental shit...
because anything can be sentimental when you think about it.

I love the idea that if I wanted to just leave my house,
I could pack my little red backpack and put on my Vans and just leave.

People always make fun of me on camping trips because they pack big duffle bags and all I got is my lil red backpack and a bandanna...and I'm good. ^_^

loopie, that's a really great link!

And Loveminx? You're my hero. My goal is to get rid of enough of my stuff so that I can fit it all into my car, but you've got it all in a backpack! Amazing.

shit just kinda builds up and builds up around my place. everything ive got has some reason that makes it worth keeping but the question is always, do i need it. sometimes the answers no, like now, i dont need all this shit ive got lying around right now. but the question is, will u need it in the future, or r u satisfied with wat uve got right now and the loose ends might as well be tossed out. so i say toss it, or better yet, build ureself a fire with it.

I have alot, it's all just small enough to fit in my frame bag, ALWAYS get stuff that you could give to someone for a gift later on... sometimes that's the only way someone will remeber you
