its not gonna happen by sitting there? spread the word.. inform people have them inform people, we shouldn't be afraid of what the governments gonna do to us the government should be afraid of what were going to do to them.
A few friends and I discussed the possibility of orchestrating the legalization through a court case. High-Powered Lawyers, Lobbyists, The Supreme Court and a case built around the premise of Personal Freedoms anyone? Because it really is a war on Freedoms, not drugs.
Hey i would donate $$ tword fighting for its legalization:cheers2: It seams to be getting better, i quess in CT and NY now for the first 2 offenses under 1 ounce its only a $100 fine. What we need first off is to completely decriminalize it. Nobody should spend years or even months in prison for possesion.
also, nobody should have to take a piss test ever again, or compromise their own private lifestyle to pass one.
Just imagine a world where you can walk down the street smoking a bowl. Or where "sorry im to high to go to work" is an acceptable excuse.
If marijuana were legal it would come with responsibilities such as, age when it can be legally consumed, walking down the street smoking a bowl most likely would be considered public intoxication and as for piss tests an employer has the right to screen for whatever they feel could effect job performance despite if it is legal or not.
yeah, but all that said and done, it would still be so much easier to get, and you wouldn't get in ridiculous trouble for possesion and shit
Good message. Hope they're reading this, surely it can only bring about change faster... By all means, spread the word but do it discreetly. Unless you're planning to hold "The Government" hostage until they agree to your demands or riot until you can legally get high enough to ignore the enormous destruction you have caused then direct your energy into signing petitions, lobbying the few politicians that actually might listen and following the legal channels to get it done. Fuck the man and the man fucks you.
Age = 18 Walking down the street should be fine, if your drunk or high, as long as your not being an idiot. They probably wouldnt like the idea of second hand MARIJUANA smoke out on the street.... and, employer shouldnt be able to screen for what the THINK might effect the job performance. They should just do a regular interview. Stereo typing?
Why would walking down the street smokin a spliff be fine. Walking down a public street while consuming alcohol is illegal in most cities in the U.S.unless there is permits pulled for special events. An employer most definitely should have the right to screen for drugs they believe could effect job performance. Do you want high truck drivers, heavy equipment opperators, pilots, doctors, nurses, this could go on forever.
I didnt say smoking a spliff i said if your drunk or high. And just an idea for what you said, its not yet illegal to walk down the street smoking a cig is it? Well no i wouldnt want high truck drivers, and ect smoking ON THE JOB, but they should be able to do it when ever they want otherwise, if its legal. Put alcohol or tobacco in the place. Well no you wouldnt want thoes people fucking drinking on the job, but no body gives a shit if they are at home.
The problem is if for certain jobs that could pose a risk to others drug tests should be required. If people would only smoke weed on their own time there would not be a problem. But that is rarely the case, there is always going to be a few people that believe they are fully competent to do their job high. I worked for a delivery company that had no drug tests and almost all the drivers would light up on the job. There was only three or four of us that were sober drivers.
ok you got me... but that still shouldnt stop them from hiring someone, now they just do it to see if they can put you in that stereotypical class of a slacker and all that and anyone who is busted for being under the influence should be punished as they are for drunk driving. what about jobs where the person doesnt pose a risk to anyone if theyre high?
In my opinion people should not be high at work, but still I would leave it to the employers discretion. If they want a drug free work place that is their choice, it is their business and their company guidelines. I have seen many companies that won't even allow you to be a smoker and there are some where alcohol is not allowed even on your off time (most of these jobs are on call jobs). Needless to say if you do not like the rules of a company do not apply.
Um...as much as i would like to agree with you, that would result in chaos lol. What if the guy who protecs nuclear power plants decided he was just to high to go to work haha.
