getting close to christmas...

what did you guys make for your friends and family this year??

i would love to see pics!!

I still havent started OH MY GOSH I am gonna be sewing all week

I'm going to take some pics soon, but so far, I have been knitting a scarf for my step sister....first thing that I have ever knit. I've had to restart it 3 times now because the yearn I'm using is bulky and I can't see where I messed up....oy
Other than that, I have made a whole bunch of dish clothes. There's one that I really like...it's two dishcloths tied together with ribbon to make a little pair of bloomers. There's a little poem with them, too. I'll post pics as soon as I get the poems attatched how I like. I have a feeling everyone who's getting them is going to be using them more as decorations than dishclothes, lol
Oh yeah, and I'm also making a crochet hook holder for a friend of mine who I got into crocheting last month. We bought all the stuff, but she has no where to put half the crap and keeps loosing her hooks.

 

ack, sorry no pics because everything is already wrapped! but I knit hats and scarves for everyone on my christmas shopping list.

 

I made 2 pairs of flannel pj pants for my mom and got her t-shirts to match them.
I also made chocolate covered cherries, her fav, but no pics because they are UGLY. In the book, they look so nice and round....haha. It's only my second time making them and the last time was last Xmas, so it's not like I got much practice....

 

well i actually got some things done, my sorta kinda step sister (dads girlfriends daughter) is getting a pair of red and blue patchy pants, fully lined =) they are nice and comfy and she can wear em as pjs or out if she wants!! I will post some pics soon, hopefully i can talk her into trying em on so i can get pics LOL

i am working on an apron skirt now with mushrooms and maybe a matching petticoat skirt... hopefully I can finishe it tonight so I can give it to someone for Christmas!!

 

As always I just make all the ladies in my family necklaces with matching earrings, most of the time I find beads and pendants to match the theme of the holiday. Do you ever forget to buy gifts for people and just give them something you have already made? I have to admit I have had to do that on a couple of occasions.
