gettin' some space

    i live in the midlands, UK and im looking to get some space to grow some things, mainly vegetables. not healthy in the bank balance so i was looking for ways of getting somewhere?

    You could try an allotment? There might be a waitinglist and a fee to pay though...

    Or maybe put an advert in the local paper and see if any old folk are needing their garden taken care of...

    Hi Shirley

    I ran our local community garden for a while up here, so check in your area to see if there is one of these. Try sourcing it through the Healthy Living Partnership initiative. The principle in our community garden is time for produce. You go and give time and energy in the garden and get veg and fruit in return. If you have a small bank balance this is probably the best way for you as you don't have to buy any equipment apart from wellies or steel cap boots. Have fun!
