    Hey :)
So at some point this week I'll be getting my nipps pierced at Sub Q in Sacramento. (i love it there) but first any experiences you can share? what are better, rings or barbells, i think I may like the rings better...but I heard they can fuck up your nipples somehow...does anyone know if this is true? Do you think would it be more comfortable to wear a regular bra or a sports bra or none for right after I get them done? umm That's all the questions I can think of for right now but feel free to add whatever you think would be helpful to know. :)
    thanks lovers

i was thinking about getting mine pierced but i have big puffy nipples so i was wondering how that would work. if it was me i would get barbells and i think barbells look better on girls and they are more out of the way.

edit: actully i would get horseshoes on me but i still like barbells on girls better

I favour barbells. I don't have mine pierced, it's just what I prefer to look at. Plus I've been told rings can catch on clothing and tare.

barbells... the curvature in rings can make them more prone to rejecting (which mine did, whee).

I was most comfortable with a padded bra, especially for the week after them. Mind you, I worked in a place where I had to lift stuff regularly, heavy stuff that I leaned against my chest so it wouldnt' fall all over the place... the cushioned bra prevented that from irritating my nipple piercings way back when I had 'em

Why does curvature make them more prone? Just curious.

Well I have mine done both with CBR, and they havent migrated or anything, it's personal preference, as long as you take care of them you should be ok, I smacked mine pretty bad a few times after I got them done but they are still with me, I just slept in a light bra that kept the rings close to my body.

Since the hole is pierced with a straight needle, the rings' curve actually strech and pull the piercing, increasing the chance of rejection. bassically, its the whole square peg in a round hole idea.

Most piercers recommend piercing wiht a bar and changing to rings once healed.

If you trust the piercer, I'd just go with theiir recommendations.

Thanks. I'd like to get an upper cheekbone piercing eventually however some one I knew had it done and it was rejected. - primarily because a straight barbell was put in while the shape of the cheekbone obviously curves. Even if I get pierced here with a straight needle, I would think a curved barbell would be far better.

Regarding nipple piercings too, how do you clean it? I guess I'm more of a tattoo lady rather than piercings (so far) so this is not my expertise.

OOOOH, definitely get a crescent barbell. The one that has a little curve to it. That's what I got and it's splendid. Also, let me suggest a padded bra. I think I had a rare situation where mine didn't hurt at all except for like day one and two. But, most people's hurt like 2 weeks later. After a week I could go bra less again!
As far as cleaning goes, 2 to 6 times a day depending on how your body is reacting. ALWAYS wash hands before playing with the piercing, make sure to clean under your finger nails as well. But, I suggest getting H2Ocean or your store's equivelent and all you do is spray on and with a little q-tip/cotton swab just pull of the crusties. Once the piercing starts to heal somewhat so that you can move it; spray it and clean the crusties spray again and let it get inside to the piercing!
Honestly, in my experience, nipples are the simplest piercings to have as long as you keep your hands and mouths off of them! It's definitley a litfa (leave it the fuck alone) piercing! Honestly girl, you'll love it.
One tip I want to give you though. At times the nipple will swell or it will be sore and pussy. This is natural. I had a panic attack one time when this happened. It's not fun but just clean it and leave it alone. Check on it every few minutes to make sure it's not bleeding though!
Blood is bad especially after the first few weeks! (At least that's what I've been told, does anyone know if that's a true statement? I don't want to lie to anyone.)

Sea salt is one of your best friends, at least it works very very well. Soak them in warm water mixed with a tiny bit of sea salt (until the water cools.)

upper cheekbone.. so antieyebrow.. even if the shape of your body was straight a straight bar would work, quite the opposite really. the only jewellery suitable are surface bars of some form. tension on the skin is what caused the rejection.

nipples. barbells will generally heal quicker due to:
the simple curved bar through a straight hole isnt too problematic, however its easier for the body to form a straight fistula
rings will move and gets knocked around or caught a lot more
while its generally unnoticable, the ring will most likely be slightly heavier, causing more tension

as for cleaning. 1/4 tsp of uniodinised sea salt to a cup of cooled boiled water. paper towel in water and compress nipple for 10mins, twice a day. add in some cleaning with a gentle (aka diluted solutions and NO peroxides etc) antibacterial soap and you should be sweet.

I think rings are better than barbells. Don't forget to post pics as well.

i have my ear pierced and the farthest id go with "body mods" would be to get the other one pierced and get tats, i dont think ill ever do anything else, its not like i look down on people with there ears gauged and people with tounge rings etc. but that stuff just isnt for me, but i give props to the people that do have that shit done

When I first got my nipples pierced, I got rings in them.
I then proceeded to slam it in a drawer.

    get barbells. :)
