I'm assuming that by crushing up a 40mg oxycontin and putting it into a gel-cap that I am creating a 40mg instant-release (or close to instant) oxycodone capsule?

    Just sitting here wondering.

    Why not just parachute it?

Well I'd just rather not taste it.

Not taste the pill? You don't when you parachute.

But yea, it should be pretty much instant release.

also, it'd be just neater if I wanted to say... Bust up a bunch of 40's and make like 30 or so gel-caps for future consumption.

It depends on what kind of oxy you have. If you have the name brand then yes, you can defeat the time release by crushing it up. If you have the generic teva's (football shape) then you CANNOT defeat the time release just by crushing them up because they gel up. If you have the teva's then you will have to do the 'crisping' method to get past the time release!

I have never gotten any oxycontins that DON'T have CDN on them, and they've never gelled up on me.

I notice though that 80's are really crunchy and 40's don't seem AS crunchy (maybe it's just me)
