Whats not goin' well man? I mean I keep hearin' shit about it on the news but they don't go in to specifics, just that the cops currently outnumber the possible rioteers, and that they don't expect just a peaceful protest this year.

I still like Obama. Of course as a lefty one has to have fairly modest expectations of any American president, but he's a marked improvement on Bush and I think, on balance and within the confines of those modest expectations, he's doing a good job so far. That certainly doesn't mean we shouldn't make our voices heard, however. Indeed, the most productive time to speak out is probably when the leadership is most receptive to what you have to say. And no, this isn't a riot. If you want riots, look to the French. When they get pissed, they really mean it....

Yes he's made more new taxs than any other President we have had in such a short amount of time.. Picking pockets and just printing money with nothing to back it up is not the way to go.. Again please keep him..

    Peace

Yeah, a marked improvement over Bush, who did so much for "freedom", both Over Here, and around the world. No, you can't keep him. I'm not through with him yet.

I'd be happy to put him up. Introduce him to tamazeparties then 10 pint sessions down the pub rounded off with a kebab, before falling into a 24 hour coma on the beach and waking up wondering where you left your underpants and why you've got a very sore arse. Yeah man, come down to Sunny Brighton and we'll have a ball!!!

I believe in social freedoms. But it's unrestrained economic liberalism that got us in this mess....

Anyone have any first-hand info about the guy who died during the protests? How long would he have been confined in the area before he collapsed?

you know, he kinda looks like my kids do when i'm trying to make them move along and they're being stubborn and defiant in a passive aggression. like mules. all i can do in that situation is pick them up and take them home. there's nothing anyone can do to move someone along like that without looking bad. very sneaky move, that.

and the baton across the leg barely looks like a love tap.

what may have happened before and after that, i don't know. but aside from a very frustrated officer shoving someone to get their ass moving, which IS inappropriate, it's not really all that shocking for a "riot gaurd" video.

the man clearly died becuase he was fat and outta shape.
